Adriana.

"Oh!" I exclaimed as someone bumped into me, almost knocking me from my feet. "Sorry." I spoke quickly and looked up, seeing the girl that Liam sometimes spoke to staring back at me with an annoyed face.

I studied her face for a few seconds, trying to remember her name. She was the girl Liam was talking to in Chemistry when I first started... Hayden! I attempted to side-step around her but she just blocked the way, stepping in front of me again.

"You." She spoke in a low voice.

"Me.." I confirmed with a raised eyebrow. How did she get out of class?

She narrowed her eyes at my sarcasm and I glanced over her, seeing that she had her hand balled up in a fist. Was she trying to hurt me..? "Stay the hell away from Liam." She suddenly snapped and I almost snorted at her random outburst.

"Liam?" I let out a slight laugh but pursed my lips when she gave me another one of her super evil looks. "What do you mean?" I asked as calmly as I could, attempting not to laugh as she glared at me.

"I mean." She raised her hand, placing it on my shoulder and I looked at it before stepping back, making her drop her hand. "I know you have a thing for him but you better not act on it. He's mine." She sounded waaaay too angry.

"I don't have a thing for him, Hayden." I explained, biting onto my lower lip to keep myself from laughing. "You've got nothing to worry about."

I was about to walk around her when she gripped onto my wrist. "You do, don't lie." She muttered. "You took him out of class. You pretended he was upset or something so you could make your move. Too late."

"Seriously?" I couldn't help myself anymore and let out a laugh. "Oh.. you are serious." I bit onto my lip again, trying my hardest not to laugh at her pissed expression. "No, he was genuinely upset about something so I got him out of class. He's with Scott and Stiles right now. Ask them if you don't believe me." I raised my hands in innocence and she dropped my wrist from her death grip.

"Remember this next time you try and talk to him."

"Gotchu." I spoke and walked around her once more, finally escaping her. Wooow, she was seriously into Liam. God, can't a girl and guy be 'sort-of' friends without everyone assuming that there are feelings?!

I ran my hand through my hair as I stood at the side of the lacrosse pitch, watching everyone warm up. We were currently facing Liam's old school, Devenford Prep, which had a few hotties. I swear, California is the place to be for good looking guys!

"Look." I whispered to Mason who stood beside me and pointed towards a tall boy with a green jersey with Talbot; 28 on the back of it. I frowned when Mason informed me that he was gay. "Seriously? All the hot guys are gay!" I whined loudly, catching the attention of the tall boy who looked at me curiously.

I ducked my head slightly as a look of realisation crossed his face. "Hey!" Liam whined from beside us and I glanced to him. "I'm hot.. i'm not gay." He defended himself, crossing his arms over his chest, obviously offended by my words.

"Yeah but you don't count." I waved my hand at him, spotting Hayden far behind him with a raised thumb, happy that I had pushed Liam away. "I mean... yeah, you're cute but you're not... him." I raised my hand, pointing to the -unfortunately- gay guy who was warming up.

"Him?" Liam scoffed as he took a few steps closer to me, leaning his elbow on my shoulder as he looked at the hottie. "Are you serious? Brett Talbot?" He asked with a disgusted tone and I looked at him curiously. Why did he hate him so much? "He's an asshole - count yourself lucky he's gay." Liam scoffed again before looking to Mason. "And you, you stay away." He pointed his finger accusingly at Mason who whined at Liam's words.
