"C'mom, Scarlett! Get excited! I think I'm more hype about this party than you are." Ross' shoulders drop after he puts a 'Happy Birthday' banner above the entrance to my patio.

"Trust me, Ross. I am excited. I'm just the type of person that doesn't show their emotions until the event is about to start." I explain, look over his shoulder to see Ethan glancing at us again. He has been repeating this same action ever since we have been putting up decorations about 2 hours ago. Thursday after our dinner date, he didn't even want to spend the night at my apartment with me, he's just acting so odd and distant.

Apparently Rydel is bringing two friends of hers from Australia. I am pretty excited to meet them. And, Rydel did mention trying to hook more people up with each other, it seems that is all we are doing these days.

It is 6:00, people should start arriving in an hour.

Today we sent Vanessa and Rocky to the store together, to try to get them to get along. Apparently something happened, but Vanessa hasn't got the chance to tell us the full story.

I'm not sure if it was something bad, or someone made a move. But if Rocky made a move, Vanessa would probably call that 'bad'.

"Hey, Scarlett. I decided to just bring my Cannon to take the pictures. Court said it would be a good idea if people wanted high quality pictures. Is that okay with you?" Ross interrupts my thoughts.

"Um, yea. That's totally fine. But I still want to see that camera someday." I wink before turning around. I realize how he could have taken that wink, not in the way I intended.

"Yep. I will make sure you will." He returns the wink, then walks the opposite direction. I'm honestly not sure if he was joking or not, I'm honestly fine with either one.

I smirk to myself while I mess with some tinsel.

"Hey, babe. I think Rydel is here with her friends." I hear Ethan's voice behind me.

"Okay, thanks for telling me." I turn, give him a peck on the lips before walking to Rydel and giving her a hug.

"Scarlett, this is Mali, Dakota, Calum, Micheal, Ashton, and Luke." I shake each of their hands as she introduces them, I did not expect there to be more guys. I don't have a problem with it though.

Dakota goes off with the boys and Rydel and Mali pulls Courtney and I into my room.

"Okay, so kind of try to push Dakota and Calum together if you can. They are the likely couple here." Rydel informs me.

"Okay.. but I'm kind of starting to feel bad for forcing relationships onto people." I chuckle.

"Don't think of it as forcing.. think of it as match making!" Courtney smiles sweetly.

"Alright then." I say, then walking out the door.

Guests should be arriving soon, it's time to set out food and drinks.

"Where do you want this?" Rocky says, walking through the front door, holding the alcohol.

"In the cooler next to the food table, please." I reply.

About twenty minutes later the guests start arriving, and the party starts unraveling.

I dance with all my friends, and Ross. I try to dance with my boyfriend but of course, he is in one of those weird moods and refuses to dance.
