chapter six (vanessa)

Ugh, Courtney sent Rocky to the store with me, luckily he's in another isle getting the booze because he is old enough to buy it.

Im getting the snacks for Scarlets party. Courtney and Scarlet know how much I hate Rocky.

Yet they still do this to me. Right now I'm looking for Scarlets favorite chips. I feel myself being thrown over someone's shoulder and scream.

I kick and hit but he's running for the door. Then I feel myself thrown to the floor and crawl away before looking back to see Rocky beating the guy up.

The guy has a bloody nose and a black eye. Rocky is holding him down on the ground until the cops come. I'm just sitting here heart thumping out of my chest a scared little girl.

Useless. All I can do is stare and think about what could've happened if Rocky weren't here to save me.

I hear people running up and watch as a cop puts the man in handcuffs. They get statements from Rocky and I and a few random people.

The store manager gives us some free stuff so we don't sue.

I kind of just sit there throughout the whole ride. I don't want to talk especially to Rocky.

When we get to the house he opens his mouth to say something but closes it and turns off the car.

We bring in the groceries and start setting up for the party to night.

After a while Rydel gets home with her friends and introduces us. "Guys this is Vanessa, Vanessa this is Mali, Dakota, Michael, Ashton, Calum, and Luke."

After we're done Courtney, Scarlet and I head to the food court in the mall for lunch.

"Are you okay?" Scarlet asks me after a while of me being quiet.

"Did you and Rocky kiss?" She asks.

"What no!" I exclaim after realizing what she said "why would you even think that?"

"Well" she replies "you look like your deep in thought so I thought maybe something happened between you and Rocky and you were reconsidering your feelings."

"No, its just today in the store a man tried to kidnap me." I say

"WHAT!!" They exclaim "what happened?" Courtney continues.

"He grabbed me and was almost at the door when Rocky attacks him. Rocky saved me." I say

"Omg what did you do after." Courtney asks

"What was I supposed to do, I didn't do anything." I say

"You should've given him a kiss or at least a thanks for saving my ass." Scarlet says

"Why would I kiss him? I can't stand Rocky." I reply

"Well at least tell me you'll say thank you later." Scarlet says

"Okay" i reply "I will"

When we finish our lunch we head to the house and chill until its time to set the food out.

You can see Ross staring at Scarlet as she moves around the kitchen setting up.

Luckily Courtney is always by her side so if she sees she will think he's looking at her.
