The other day was stressful for Abby and Jerome. Lila's body was found shortly after they threw it at the nearby fields, it was all good though, the circus wanted to solve the case by their own. So that means no cops but then, yesterday, the circus went out of hand when the Grayson's and the Llyod's got into a fight because of Lila's death. Then Jim Gordon found the body at the circus using Lila's snake and Jerome had to pretend that he was all mourny of his mother's death when Jim interviewed him.
It was a school day as Abby flicked the pages of where the lecture will be. It was finally Abby's last class in the afternoon and she's excited to talk to Jerome tonight. She getting more and more into him every second they spend with each other. She didn't even care what they did, she's even proud of it.
"Abby," Her best friend, Luna whispers while their teacher continues to talk and write on the board.
"What is it?" Abby turn to her side to look at Luna who holding a phone. Her eyes almost widen when she saw a picture of her and Jerome hand and hand.
"It's you isn't it?" She ask giggling. Abby turned to the teacher annoyed at Luna.
"Can we talk after please?" Abby ask clenching her hand. She's scared she might kill her best friend, but maybe it was for the good. But what if Jerome finds it before she could kill her then she had to see Luna suffer even harder. No one has to know about her relationship with Jerome or her whole life would be destroyed.
The teacher kept bubbling words out of his mouth and Abby didn't even understand a thing. At this point she didn't even care, she already wanted to talk to Luna. As the class ended, Abby immediately close her book and stuff it inside her bag.
"What is it that you wanted to talk about Abby? Is it about the picture. No worries, I just found you guys last night." Luna says waiting for Abby to finish packing her bag.
"Can we first go out, let's talk somewhere private shall we?" Luna nodded her head as they headed their way to the back of the school were there were trees and benches that surrounded the place.
"So who was that guy?" Luna ask a grin spread across her face and it also made Abby smile because it made her remember his touch and his soft skin.
"That is J" Abby paused, could she trust her? Well they have been friends since they were infants. "Jerome."
"What's wrong Abby? Is everything alright?" Luna asks as they both sat down on a bench under the tree.
"I need to know I can trust you Luna." Abby said looking down on her knees.
"You can trust me Abby, we've been together since we were young and I love you, you're my best friend." She replies and Abby thought she was very sincere, and Abby loved her too. She would never have the courage to kill her.
"I know Luna but this is more complicated. There's blood and..."
"Huh?" Luna asked, confused about why Abby mentioned blood.
"I know Luna, you're very confused. But I'm going to tell you what happened. Okay?." Luna looked at Abby as she held her hand tightly. "Tommy brought me to the circus and when we went to see the Flying Graysons, I found a boy who was outside the tent. He talked to me and escorted to the bathroom and back to the tent." The bell rang surprising the two. It was signaling that it id assembly time.
"Don't worry about it Abby, we'll ditch assembly." Luna says as she lets Abby to continue talking. They kept talking about Jerome and how Abby smoked a cigarette and drank whiskey for the first time. But one thing she forgot was when they killed Jerome's mother.
"There's something else." Abby said quietly but loud enough for Luna to hear. "We killed his mom." Silence was filled in the air as Abby looked at Luna. Her expressions were unreadable.
"Then?" Luna asks almost stuttering.
"I don't know." She paused and looked to the distance.
"You can trust me Abby, I won't tell anyone about this. I promise." Luna said as Abby sighed in relief and hugged Luna close to her.
"Thank you Luna. I knew I could trust you." Abby says as they pulled away from each other.
"No problem Abby. Just please, please don't get in trouble. I don't want you to get harmed." Abby smiled to her as they stood up and went to the exit of the school.
"I'll see you tomorrow Luna." Abby waves goodbye as she gets inside the car. They drove off and halfway of the drive they halted to a stop. It was very traffic and the streets of Gotham was filled with people. That was the same all day.
As they continue to the drive slowly because of the traffic, they pass through GCPD and she notice a couple of circus performers. She immediately became worried about what was going on. And Jerome, she remembered Jerome.
"Uhm, Damian. Meet me at the end of this block. I just want to see something at the store. Abby got off of the car and walked back to the GCPD. She immediately got inside and heard Jerome's laughs.
What is going on? She thought. She looked around the place and saw Jerome locked up in jail, laughing. Her eyes immediately widen. She close her eyes and a single drop of tear came out. She quickly wiped it away and heard that Jerome's laugh were halted.
She looked at him and he looked at her. He shook his head at her signaling not to tell anyone that she was involved. He didn't want to destroy Abby's life, he wanted it to be beautiful, like her. One way or another, Jerome knew that he would get out of this prison. He will definitely.
"Excuse me miss, what are you doing here?" A policeman ask Abby as she quickly removed her eyes from Jerome.
"I just wanted to see the maniac. But I now I do, I'm disguted." She says and gets out of GCPD as quickly as possible. She run to the edge of the block with tears streaming down her face as she quickly wipe it off.
She got in her car as her driver drives her to home. As soon as she got home, she immediately run to her room and cried herself to sleep that very night.
