"Abby?" He mother called and burst through the door of her room. It was a Friday night and Abby already knew that they were off again to some party.
"What?" She asked while stops doing her homework and looked up at her mom. For the first time this month, she was doing homework. She set aside her notebook and notice her mother holding a red dress. "What is that?" She ask, pointing at what her mom was holding.
"It's for you, you are coming with us tonight." Abby's eyes widen. She wanted to stay home and wait for Jerome to come and see him but her mother ruins it by making her go with them to one of the parties they are going to attend.
"I'm not going." She simply say looking back at the notebook finishing her what she started.
"I'm not leaving you here Abby, that maniac might come and kidnap you again. I'm not letting that happen." Abby rolled her eyes and looked at her.
"Just lock all the doors and windows, I'm fine mom, I can protect myself." She says, writing down the answers of her homework on her notebook.
"Abby, I'm not asking again." She laid the dress on the end of the bed and walked to Abby. "Get ready, we'll be leaving in an hour." She said kissing the side of Abby's head and left her room.
Abby sighed and decided to go. It was just one night, it wouldn't hurt, she thought. Abby closed her notebook and looked at the dress that lay on top of the bed. She picked it up and run her hand through the thin fabric. It was so soft and cool. The dress had a lace strap and it flowed to the ground. The dress was sparkly, not what she wanted but it looked good.
Abby putted the dress down to its old position and headed to her bathroom. She turned on the shower and stripped down her clothing and threw her hair into a bun. She steps inside the shower as hot droplets of water touch her soft skin. It was relaxing.
She grabbed the soap and rubbed it across her body until she was all covered in bubbles. Abby laughed at the thought of it not even knowing why. She washed herself again as the water carry the bubbles away from her body.
She opens the sliding glass door and grabs the fresh new towel that sat on the towel rack. She wiped her body with it until she was dry and returned back to her bedroom. She looked at the dress one more time and adored it's color. Red. Blood.
Abby puts on her underwear and tried on the red dress. It was perfect, skin tight on the waist and up, on the bottom, it flowed like waterfalls. She also wore a black satin gloves with the dress. If Jerome was here, the room would be filled with compliments and kisses, she thoughts while memories of him flashes back to her mind. She untied her bun and brushed her hair until it was so soft like cotton. Abby grabbed a tube of red lipstick that had been with her for a long time, unused and applied it on her already red lips.
She looked at her reflection, she looked totally different when wearing red, she looked something more dangerous than she already is.
Realizing that Jerome would be sending a message any minute, she looked around her room and searched for her phone. When she found it, it was sitting on top of the bedside table. The screen glowed as she picked it up, signaling that she had received a message. She unlocked her phone and saw that Jerome was the one sending the message.
Jerome: hey doll face! I have plans with Theo and Barb tonight. I think I could not visit you :(. I'm sorry, we'll do next time.
Abby read the text and sensed something suspicious. Jerome was doing something that he didn't told Abby about.
Abby: Okay J. I hope you have fun with your plans.
