Chapter One.

Adela smiled as she made her way to school with Jose in the front seat. She knew Jose was mad at having to watch over her but she just wanted him around. She had to go through the task of carefully telling her father why she needed a bodyguard and Jose for that matter. She was grateful her father did not suspect anything.

Jose sat stiffly in the passenger seat. He was not finding it funny at all. Adela was turning into a pain in the neck. He didn't want to go around babysitter an underage girl while he could be on the field with the other men and real women. So maybe the real women part was not a true reason because he liked Adela the way she was. In fact, her age was another reason for liking her. She was so naive.

Jose remembered the talk he had with Octavio.

"It'll just be for a short time. She feels like she needs someone around besides I don't want anything happening to her. She's still so young. " Octavio explained while sitting. He was studying Jose carefully. He could tell Jose didn't want to do this job.

"Yes I understand but why am I the one to do this? You can have any other man babysit her. I believe I'm way past babysitting sir. " Jose said, blatantly annoyed now.

"Yes any other man can do it and you're way past babysitting but other than Draven and Lucas. You're the one I trust more and I can trust my daughter's health and safety in your hands. Besides you could also help in keeping all the boys away from her. " Octavio explained, Unknown to him Jose was the one he was supposed to be keeping away from his daughter.

Jose only snorted internally. No boy would even consider nearing Adela. Besides, she was his until he tired of her, which he hoped would happen soon.

"Okay sir. I'll do it ." Jose reluctantly agreed.

"Good. You will  receive your first pay-check soon. You can begin this morning. " Pctabio said picking up his mobile. He noticed he was getting a call on his phone.

"This morning!" Jose exclaimed. Octavio only held up his finger to him.

"Good morning. " Octavio said into the phone.

Jose only swore before he left Octavio's office, slamming the door behind him.

"When will you be here to pick me up?" Adela asked about to get out of the car. She knew Jose was coming with her but she just felt like speaking to him.

"I'm sure you know I'm staying. " Jose said and they both made their way out of the vehicle. Jose told the driver to send a vehicle over for them.

"I know I should have discussed this first with you but I just felt like you would ignore me. " Adela said not looking at him.

Jose looked at her before he looked up and watched how all the girls basically walked around in their too short skirts. He noticed how everyone was staring at him like he was some star.

"You know me well then." Jose only answered her shortly. The hallway was rowdy. With his big frame, Jose helped create enough space for Adela to walk through.

Adela only tucked her hair behind her ear and thanked him, leading the way. Adela had not yet told anyone the real reason she wanted a bodyguard. There were these men that always came to watch her while she was in school. She knew they were watching her but she would never know how to say it. What if it was all a false alarm?
