Galina awoke with a start, sitting up in bed she rubbed her face trying to figure out if what she had just imagined was a dream or reality.  "Please let it just be a bad dream" she cried quietly as she slid from bed.

She was still dressed in her boxers and tank shirt when she descended the stairs and that's when she saw the whole compound in chaos.  She knew right there it was no dream.  It was reality.  Her reality.  Her husband had been taken.

Gripping her fist by her side, she stormed into Ilia's study where Max, Erik, Yuri and Roman, just to name a few, were gathered working on their strategy to bring Ilia home.

"Galina" Max said walking towards her.  "You shouldn't be out of bed.  Dr. Markov's orders" he said sternly.

Placing her hands on her hips, Galina snarled "I don't give two fig newtons what Dr. Markov said, I want to know where Ilia is and what's being done to bring him home."  Her eyes were watering at this point.

"Also does Valeria know?  I don't want her finding out by some third party source.  The news should come from us" she said.  Max nodded his head indicating that they had been in touch with Ilia's mom and she was aware.

Tori appeared out of nowhere and came towards her, wanting to put her arms around her, trying to bring her some small comfort but it didn't work.  Galina knew she was only trying to distract her.

"I will go back upstairs" she said.  "But please do not keep me in the dark.  I need and want to know what's going on with my husband.  Please Max.  Don't leave me out of it.  I can't stand this not knowing where he is" she begged.

Her cousin wrapped her arm around Galina, gave a knowing look to Max and walked her back upstairs, where she tucked Galina in and then asked if she needed anything.

"I need Ilia" she cried.  "There, there" Tori soothed.  "If anyone can make it through this, it's Ilia.  Since he has you and this precious little one to come home to, he will stop at nothing, I know, to get back home to you.  Rest in this" she said.  "I will go and get you some tea" she said closing the door on her way out.

Just then, her cell phone rang.  It was Ilia!  "Hello?  Baby?  Where are you?" she called out.  Then she heard something that made her skin crawl.  It was not Ilia's voice.  It was Andre Petrov.  He had her husband.

"So touching" he sneered.  "I don't give two fucks about Ilia Savin, but you, on the other hand, I want you, Galina and I'm willing to trade your husband if you do what I say."  He wasn't giving her much of a choice, was he?

"What do you want me to do?" she asked quietly as she twisted the comforter up in her hands.  It didn't take long for him to answer.

"I want you to come alone.  I will tell you the address.  You will leave your phone at home and if I get any indication that you are not alone, your husband and you both will suffer for your disobedience.  Do you understand me, bitch?" his voice was cold and devoid of any human warmth or compassion.

"I understand you.  How much time do I have?  As you can imagine the house is full of people and it's going to be difficult, not impossible, but difficult to get out of here unawares" she told him honestly.

"I don't care what you have to do to get out, you had just better do it and soon.  He doesn't have much time and my patience for this deal is wearing out as well."  He hung up.

Okay, she couldn't bring her phone, so she would type the address into her text to Max but not send it.  She would leave the phone on her bathroom counter, knowing someone would find it there when they realize she is gone.

She hurried from bed, ran to her closet and grabbed some jeans and long sleeve tee shirt and her boots.  Those would be the best for all the walking she was about to do.  Taking her clothing, she dashed into the bathroom just as Tori was returning with her tea.

"Hey Tor" Galina called from the bathroom.  "I think I will take a quick bath and that will give the tea time to cool and then I think I'll hang out in bed like Dr. Markov said.  I don't want to be in the way" she finished hoping her cousin would buy the outrageous tale she was spinning.

"I think that's a great idea" Tori called from the other room.  "I will keep you updated, cous.  I promise" she said.  Galina thanked her and waited to hear the door click shut.

Once Tori was gone, Galina dressed quicker than she ever had before.  She brought the cup of tea into the bathroom and set it next to her phone.  If Tori came looking for her, she would see that the tea was missing and she would look for it.  No one else would know to.

Galina walked out onto the balcony and looked over the side.  They were three floors up.  Surely she could climb down the trellis and slip out unnoticed?  There was hardly ever anyone on this side of the house which is why Ilia preferred it.

Saying a quick prayer, she threw her leg over the side and managed to make it all the way down until her feet safely touched the hard ground.  Leaning over with her hands on her knees, she said another prayer of thanks that she had made it safely down to the ground.

Now transportation.  She watched the arm guards that were slowly walking the perimeter, made note of how many steps they took before turning to go the other way and just at the precise time, she ran past where one man would be standing and made it into the garage.

Every single car in that garage would make too much noise starting up and driving off and just when she was about to give up, she spotted Tori's little mini Cooper.  It wouldn't make that much noise at all and because of the tinted windows they would probably think it was just Tori leaving.

Sure enough that's what happened and she was able to make it out of the compound and down the road to the main highway.  Her hands gripping the steering wheel while her eyes landed on her growing belly.

Rubbing where her child was growing she said in the softest of voices "Don't worry Aleksei.  We will get daddy back and we will all be happy again.  I just know it."

It didn't take her long to arrive at the instructed destination.  It was an abandoned warehouse down by the warf and it was guarded but not heavily.

Galina thought it looked like she was expected because every checkpoint she was waved through until she reached 'the' building and saw Petrov standing outside, gloating and smirking at her.

When his eyes fell on her belly, a more sinister expression slowly spread over his face.  "I see Savin wasted no time in knocking you up" he hissed hatefully.  "That's okay.  I always wanted to be a dad."  His laugh sent chills down her spine.

"I did as you asked" she started.  "Now, let my husband go and I will go willingly with you.  Anywhere."  Throwing his head back, he laughed as did the men around him.

"Oh you are so naive, Galina.  Maybe you were telling the truth about not knowing what your father was up to, but it makes no matter to me now.  I think I will keep you both for a bit.  Let Savin see how a real man fucks his woman and then when I get tired of that, he will die and you will be mine."  Oh this man was pure evil.

Galina stepped forward but was stopped by armed men.  "But you said..." she didn't get to finish before she was slapped across the face.  "Let that be your first lesson.  You don't speak unless you are spoken too.  Take her inside" he yelled.

Once inside, her body stiffened at the sight in front of her.  Ilia, her Ilia was strapped to a chair, had been beaten about the face, his shirt had been torn from his body but left hanging off him and his chest and upper body had been beaten as well.

"Ilia!" she screamed, trying to make it to him but was grabbed roughly by her hair and yanked back, she cried out in pain, her hands on top of her captor's hands.

"Jesus Galina" Ilia struggled to get out.  "What the fuck are you doing here?" his voice full of anger, concern and fear.

Petrov led her to her husband, still with a handful of her hair grasped in his hand.  "I left her little choice, Savin.  And because she loves you so much, it was easy getting her here.  Now, let the fun begin" he said evilly.
