"how was your day?" nate asked, giving his wife a kiss on the lips before laying down on their bed.

"i'm doing great." genesis smiled. "i had a doctors appointment today."

"and you didn't tell me?" he furrowed his eyebrows.

"i didn't want you to miss time off work. i'm doing good, the baby is doing good." genesis smiled. "everything is good."

"wouldn't want it any other way." nate got up from the bed. "alright, i'm going to take a shower. it was a long day."

"you wanna join me?" nate asked while taking off his shirt.

genesis chuckled. "i'm alright. little tired."

"suit yourself." zac shrugged, leaving to the bathroom.

once she heard the door close, genesis dropped the book she as reading onto her laps and sighed.

she rubbed her face with her hands.

"we're happy." genesis said, rubbing her stomach. "we're happy."

"you know what i was thinking?" genesis said, as she watched nate get ready for work.

"this shouldn't be good." he joked.

genesis chuckled. "i was thinking of going back to work."

nate furrowed his eyebrows. "you haven't worked since the-"

"i know, i know." genesis nodded. "but, i'm bored here and it'll give me something to do. it may even make this pregnancy go by faster."

"whatever you want." nate nodded. "i gotta go. i'll see you tonight." he gave genesis a kiss on the lips then left out the door.

genesis watched as the door closed.

"now what." genesis looked around her kitchen.

"i can make breakfast." genesis shrugged. "or brunch. oh, maybe desert!"

"... i'm talking to myself." genesis sighed, face palming her forehead.

"or you." she brings her hands onto her stomach, rubbing it. "if you can even hear me."

she walked to the fridge and opened it.

"great, we have nothing." genesis put her head down. "well," she closed the door. "a trip to the grocery store wouldn't hurt."

she grabbed her bag from the counter, grabbed her keys and headed out the front door.
