dylan walked into the bar, smiling at tyler who saw him enter the building.
"I need a beer." Dylan sighed, sitting at the bar while tyler handed him a beer.
"You good?" Tyler asked, putting the small white towel over his shoulder.
"You think she'll give me custody?" He said after taking a drink from the glass bottle.
"Not looking too good?"
"she's not going to tell nate." dylan groaned.
"then you tell him." tyler said.
dylan shook his head. "no, i can't."
tyler sighed then patted dylan's shoulder before leaving to someone else.
dylan continued to drink his beer, so many thoughts rushing through his head.
"dylan?"
dylan turned and there stood genesis with a slight smile.
"oh hey." dylan stood up. "what're you doing here?"
"i just wanted to come by and say thank you for not telling nate anything." genesis said. "so thanks."
"oh." dylan looked down. "yeah. it's nothing."
genesis started to walk away, but soon stopped and turned around.
"my appointment is tomorrow." genesis played with her fingers. "do you want to come with me?"
she looked up to him and something twinkled in dylan's eyes.
dylan smiled at her. "yes. i'd love to."
"it's at nine." genesis said.
"i'll pick you up."
"alright. see you." genesis then continued to leave the bar.
"wait." dylan went to genesis. "what about nate?"
"don't worry about it." then genesis left out the door.
"she's hot." tyler smirked. "your kids will be good looking."
"i'm going to her appointment tomorrow." dylan turned around and smiled wide at tyler. "she asked me to come."
"good job bro." tyler hugged dylan in a brotherly manner. "things are starting to turn up."

next day
genesis got into dylan's car, buckling herself up.
"i convinced nate that he can't afford to miss anymore work." genesis told dylan.
dylan nodded.
"you know, once until the baby is born." genesis sighed. "he's going to have to miss work and... yeah."
dylan rolled his eyes. cant this day start off good? without nate?
"we really should talk." dylan said. "after the appointment, we'll go somewhere. i'm not taking no for an answer."
genesis nodded, the rest of the way was filled with silence.
~~~
genesis laid on the table - dylan by her side.
she let him be there which dylan was surprised by, but didn't question her.
doctor lópez walked in with a smile. "good morning genesis."
"morning." genesis smiled. "now lets see my baby."
dr. lópez nodded to dylan, which he did back.
"eager, are we?" dr. lopez chuckled. she put the gel onto genesis's belly then rubbed it with the ultrasound remote - monitor. - (???)
"here we go." dr. lopez smiled at the screen. "a beautiful baby..."
dr. lópez squinted her eyes, leaning closer at the screen.
genesis shifted uncomfortably. "um... i noticed my belly getting really big. I mean, that's probably normal. everyone is different."
dylan removed his eyes from gen then went to dr. lopez.
"is something wrong?" dylan asked.
"how many weeks are you genesis?" dr. lopez asked.
"13..." genesis said slowly. "what's wrong? is everything okay?"
dr. lopez lightly laughed. "everything is great!"
dylan and genesis both sighed in relief.
"you are currently carrying beautiful, healthy babies." dr. lopez smiled wide.
"phew, that's great. you had me worried when you- wait?! did you say babies?! as in.. plural?" genesis eyes widened.
"yes." dr. lopez chuckled. "you're having twins."
she moved the monitor screen towards genesis so she and dylan can both see them for themselves.
"Twin A and twin B." dr. lopez pointed. "usually this is the right time where we can really see the two."
"that's the reason why i asked and also the reason why your tummy is growing more quicker. you're carrying two."
"wow." genesis said. "okay. um, thank you."
"i'll see you in two weeks." dr. lopez left the two with a smile.
dylan handed her a paper towel to wipe off the gel.
"now we really need to talk." dylan walked out of the room, leaving genesis in there alone.
