Genesis sat in her and her husbands bed, staring blankly at the floor.
Her head was hurting as so many thoughts were passing through.
She was so confused.
"What am I supposed to do?" Genesis sighed, putting my head in my hands.
A few moments later, the door bell rang.
Genesis walked out of her room, walking to the door.
The door bell rang once again.
"I'm coming." Genesis said loud enough.
She opened the door and she did not expect to see who it was. at all.
Genesis squinted her eyes in confusion, as well as furrowing her eyebrows.
"What are you doing here?"
"I need to talk to you." Dylan said.
Genesis hesitated, but nodded anyway.
She moved so he could come in.
He walked in with his hands in his pockets.
As Genesis closed the door, she said, "Talk."
"Is... is he here?" Dylan asked, pointing at nothing, looking around.
Genesis sighed, "No, he's not here. He left a few hours ago."
"Why?"
"He works."
"Oh, so you didn't tell him?"
"Dylan, just tell me what you need so you can go."
"Alright, well... do you remember anything of that night?"
"Besides that I had sex with you and cheated on my husband?" Genesis said with a bit of sass.
"Well... actually yeah." Dylan nodded.
"No, not really." Genesis shook her head.
"Okay, well. We were both drunk. But, I remember this specific thing." Dylan said. "Actually... it's the only thing I remember."
Genesis crossed her arms, raising a brow.
"Anyway, there's really no easy way of saying this, but we didn't use protection."
Genesis stood there frozen.
"Did you hear-?"
"Yeah, I heard you." Genesis furrowed her eyebrows, taking a seat on her living room couch.
She put her head in her hands.
"How... why?" Genesis looked up to him. "Why didn't we use- why didn't we... why did we do this."
"You don't have a ring." Dylan pointed out.
"I leave it here when I go to places like that. I'm afraid I'd lose it." Genesis sighed.
"why didn't we use a condom?"
"Caught in the moment?" Dylan shrugged. "I don't know."
"Okay... well not everyone gets pregnant after one day of not using..." Her words slowed down.
"What?" Dylan asked. "what's wrong."
"Me and Nate have been trying..." Genesis said. "What if this - what if that - oh lord."
"Breath... breath." Dylan took a seat next to her. "It'll be alright. We don't even know for sure."
"What if I pulled out?"
Genesis looked at him, her mouth gaped open.
"You're right... that probably didn't happen."
"He can't have kids." Genesis said. "He can't have kids and I'm over here... probably pregnant from another man."
"This is going to crush him. Literally crush him."
"If he really loves you, then you two will find a way to work it out."
Dylan sighed. "I have to ask..."
Genesis looked over to him.
"If you were, y'know, pregnant... would you terminate the pregnancy?"
Genesis shook her head quickly. "Gosh no."
"I did this- we did this. It's our responsibil-"
"Why are we even talking about this?!" Genesis stood up. "We're jumping way into conclusion."
Dylan sighed. "Let me give you my number."
Genesis nodded, getting her phone out of her back pocket and handing it to Dylan, unlocked.
Dylan handed Genesis her phone back once he finished.
"call me for anything." Dylan said.
Genesis nodded.
"I'll let myself out."
Dylan walked out of the living room and to the front door.
as soon as he left, Genesis threw her phone to the floor, and began to cry.
she leaned down to the floor, hugging her knees and crying into them.
she did this for the rest of the morning.
