Dan's P.O.V.

Tick Tick Tick

This day just felt so long but at least closing time is soon. 10 mins...

He knows about my vows, does he want to talk about it? Or is he just gonna bash me and call me a liar? But he was checking me out? He was probably just looking at me in disgust.

My mind was flooding with questions and no certain answers. I sighed and waited for everyone to leave

"You ok, Dan?" Linda asked as she grabbed her bag

"Yeah, I'm just waiting for my friend to pick me up." I replied, obviously lying. She nodded and walked out.

I did tell Marzia about this but she was in class, most likely. She hasn't responded.

I got my stuff and headed towards his office. The desk lady wasn't there so I decided to knock.

Knock Knock

It echoed throughout this floor level. I waited about a minute before I was met with his blue eyes.

"Dan! Erm. Come in." he said as he held the door open for me

I mumbled a quick thanks as I sat down on the chair across from his

"So..."

"Dan. I'm not gonna bite. We've dated six months before the... you know..."

"Phil. Cut the crap." I said standing up to face him.

"Ok ok... I wanted to say... that I'm..."

"That you're what?"

"I'm sorry. Look, and if you don't want to forgive me, that's fine. Here's your box."

He handed me my box and I grabbed it. I set it on top of his mini fridge and crossed my arms.

I exhaled sharply, "I have no reason to forgive you, you know?"

"I know, I know. I'm so sorry. I should've listened."

"Phil, I know what I did before was a horrible past of mine-"

"And I had people like the old you break my heart before."

"I see why you were so distressed but if you would've let me talk."

"I know, Dan-"

"No you don't Phil."

"What?"

"The second I laid my eyes on you, I knew you were...different"

His eyes widened

"What?" I asked

"Dan, I literally thought the exact same thing as you..." he chuckled staring back at me

"Ok and...?"

He walked towards me

"Dan, what I'm trying to say is... I'm sorry, please..."

My eyes began to fill up with tears

"Dan I love you for fuck's sake. I can't live without you. Sure, it's only been a week but it felt like an eternity." he said, his voice breaking

He hugged me. I heard muffled sobs coming from him. I was hesitant but I slowly wrapped my arms around his torso and that's where I started crying too.

"Fuck Phil."

He pulled away giving me a strange look, his eyes red and puffy.

I grabbed his face and kissed him and sparks flew everywhere. At first he was in shock but he slowly melted into the kiss.

I finally felt my missing piece falling into place.
