Chapter 44

Dan's P.O.V.
Phil seemed more nervous than usual. I mean, I can tell because he's shaking his leg up and down uncontrollably. I giggle at his anxiousness before setting my fork down and wiping my mouth with a napkin
I sigh briefly before asking the obvious, "Phil? Are you nervous?"
He looks at me with eyes of a scared deer
"Oh gosh what now, love?"
"Uh. Um. D-Dan. I-I"
"Babe, relax... Take a deep breath. Whatever you're nervous about, you know you can tell me. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about!"
Without saying a word, he gets up and walks towards the balcony that looks over the horizon. He stands there looking out to the sunset and them turns to face me.
"Dan, c-can you come here really quick?"
I was a bit confused.
Why is he acting strange? Why'd he get up suddenly? What is going on?
My mind was flooding with so many questions! I could barely walk towards him
It felt as if I was walking for an eternity
I was now standing next to him, the sunset so beautiful and warm, but all my mind was doing was racing
What if- oh my gosh- what if he wants to leave me! AGAIN!!!
I begin to hyperventilate and he soon notices
He doesn't say anything but immediately has me in his arms wrapped around my body
"Are you ok? Dan... I think I'm the one that should be nervous"
I was confused? "What?"
But before i knew it he was on one knee with a small velvety box in his palm
My mouth dropped open
"WHAT"
"Daniel James Howell, will you do me the honor of becoming Daniel James Lester?"
My eyes began to spring tears and all i could do was cover my mouth and nod my head up and down
"Phil- I- YES!"
I tackle him to the floor and we layed there. Eye to eye. I kissed him so deeply i felt as if I were falling in love all over again
He plops himself onto his elbows and giggles
"God I love you,"
He sits me up and gently takes my hand into his
I look at him so lovingly. I just could not believe it.
He slides the ring onto my left ring finger and soon looks back at me
I see tears glazing over his eyes and I quickly feel them glazing mine as well
"Phil. I- I love you so much"
"Hey. Save the cheesy sap for the wedding"
We giggle and sit there until the night covered the sky
The stars sparkled and lit up the ring that was on my finger
I guess I can call Marzia and say I am officially done with Sugar Daddies... and I have never been happier
