Riley P.O.V

Silenders was so much fun! I and Jack first went to McDon and shared fries and a milkshake. Then we went to the Silenders in Silenders.

We grabbed a trolley and were running around and grabbing random food and snacks. I was in the cart while Jack was pushing. We were having so much fun we didn't see where we were going! You can guess what happened next...3...2...1... CRASH! "RILEY, ARE YOU OK?!" Jack cried as he dug through the rolls of toilet paper that piled on top of me. I shot my head out and screamed: "THAT WAS AWESOME!". Suddenly the manager was on a prawn and was walking towards us. "Run," Jack said quietly as we ran out of the store.

We were walking home when Jack said "That was crazy" and that was my trigger word... "CRAZY? Really? Pfft, I've down much crazier things than that!" I laughed aloud. Shoot. WHY DID I SAY THAT! I knew he would get suspicious and ask questions. Cole already knew because, well he was the one that understood along with John, the owner of the convenient store. "Oh yeah? Like what?" Jack asked. The questions started reeling in like a train coming to the station. "Um, well... uh. Y'know, stuff." I said trying to avoid the question. Sweat started to travel down my pale face and stuck to my body like tape on paper. Jack could tell, and being the respectful guy he is, he changed the topic.

I was so relieved. I didn't know whether I should tell him or not! Should I tell him or not? It was a constant war in my head whether I should tell him about my adventures with the government and my...problem. Every day I would wake up and say to myself 'Today, I'm going to tell him!' being excited, but when I actually see him I couldn't get the words out. It was just a mess, like me.

Jack and I's house were right next to each other. That's how I met him in the first place. I bought it with the money I saved from the gas station, which was a lot. Cole pitched in too. When the moving van pulled I saw Jack sitting on the steps looking down in the dumps. "Hey, Jack!" I exclaimed and his whole face lit up. He helped me with the boxes and everything! When my house was all sorted, we went to his house and played video games till dawn!

We got to my house and I realized the abandoned house across the road was lit up. Someone must've rented or bought it. We decided to check it out. We walked up to the front door and rung the bell. It was 5:45 pm. When someone opened the door, it was a cheery woman with dark oak brown hair. "Why, hello there. What can I do for you?" She asked. She wore a flowery pink top with overalls, she looked around 25 years old but I was never good at guessing the age of others. "Hi, my name is Riley and this is Jack. We live just across the road!" I replied. Her face turned into a smile and replied: "I'm Theresa, Why don't you two come in for some lemonade,". We couldn't say no, so we entered the house. I've been in this house before when it was my first time in the neighborhood.

Cole and I were looking for houses in the neighborhood when I saw this big white one. I immediately fell in love with it. We took a peek inside and never told anyone what happened. Plus it was very expensive.

"This is my husband Randy. We have twins and a girl. The twins are 17 and called Emily and Joshu- I mean Josh! Our girl is 13 and her name is Perry," Theresa explained. We met the twins and they were quite nice. They showed us they're room, while Theresa was making lemonade. Randy was downstairs watching soccer on the TV.

(A/N: Do you say football or soccer. I say football but best not to get others confused. Right?)

Then I heard a door open and close. Suddenly a pure white haired girl came in. I was so shocked I jumped out of my seat and ran up to her to see her hair and if it was real! This was Perry. "OMG, YOUR HAIR IS WHITE! HOW DID YOU DO THAT? THAT'S SO COOL!" I clamored. She was confused and fell to the ground. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm Riley" I apologized while helping her off the floor. She looked deep into my eyes and I could feel something brush against my brain. It was bright but a shadow. I couldn't tell what it was but the minute she looked away it was gone. "I'm Perry and who's that," Perry asked while pointing at Jack who was gulping down his lemonade. "Oh sorry, where are my manners? I'm Jack," Jack said as she stared into his blue eyes. That's when she started blushing. "I-I'm Perry, it's ok" she spits out. I looked down at Perry's hand and saw she was holding a book. "W-Well, I'm going to m-my room. Good night" Perry stuttered and left up the stairs. "But aren't there only three rooms? Who are you sharing with?" Jack asked curiously. She poked her head down the stairs. "Um, I'll show you guys." She said.

Jack's P.O.V

We climbed the ladder leading up to Perry's room. I couldn't believe we didn't see this. The walls were black with four colored lines: Red, green, blue and purple. I gotta admit it was beautiful. Perry put the book she was carrying on the shelf.  "So this is my room, what do you think?" She asked. She looked into my eyes and I felt a shadow loom over me. Of course, I blocked the shadows power but it was stronger in this room. Perry blushed, even more, I didn't even know why! "It's awesome! I wish I had a room like this" Riley admitted.

Whenever Riley spoke my heart sang, when I looked into her ocean blue eyes I'd be in a dreamless trance when she smiled I can't help but smile with her. Yes, as you can tell I have a wild crush.

"Me too," I said. Perry smiled and said "Yeah, the minute I found this room I knew it was perfect," while sitting on her bed. "We should leave now. It's 7:00 pm already" Riley explained. Perry stood up and showed us to the door. "Oh ok. Well, see ya later," Perry explained while shutting the door. We started walking home when Riley said: "She's nice". And with that, we said good night to each other and went home.

I couldn't sleep that night. I was thinking about Perry, the family, that house, the shadow, and Riley, mainly Riley. I've never felt that shadow's presence before and it was still lurking in my brain...
