Third Person P.O.V

The four entered the inn, with Riley heading in first and Cole trailing behind. When they entered it was a bar, and as expected the rooms were upstairs. There were many creatures there, some indescribable.

The four sat down at a table looking around, while Jack took out a book and started writing in it. "Where'd you get the book from?" Riley asked. Jack looked around at the people in the bar and finished writing his sentence, before answering Riley's question. "No idea, to be honest. I found it in the satchel I took from the prison place," Jack replied. Cole snatched the book away and started to read what he wrote. "You do know, it's rude to stare at people but writing about them? I never saw you as the researcher type, Jack" Cole teased Jack, as he snatched his book back. "Well, I'm sorry for not suiting your expectations," Jack said sarcastically. The four of them started to laugh, when Riley remembered how she needed to tell Jack about Perry being psychic.

"Hey Jack, um can you open your mind more?" She asked trying to act casual. Jack's eyes start to widen as he asked, "Are you the one who keeps trying to get into my mind?". Not wanting to say anything else in public she just told him to do it. As Jack opened his mind, the red and black barrier that surrounded his brain faded and Perry stepped into a new mindscape.

Mind Chat:

Riley: I was starting to get uncomfortable speaking aloud

Jack: What the- What is this?

Cole: Some mind group thing, where we can communicate telepathically

Jack: THAT'S AWESOME! RILEY, DID YOU DO THIS?

Riley: Nope

Jack: Who did then?

Cole: It was Perry. Speaking of which, how come Perry hasn't said anything yet?

Riley: No idea...

Meanwhile, Perry was exploring new lands (Jack's mindscape). It was dark and cold. As she got deeper in, everything became more vivid. There were bubbles that would show memories of Jack. Some good, some bad. One of which was Jack getting bullied and giving Tom the red eyes. 'Perry, stop looking into Jack's memories! They're none of your business! Friends don't intrude on friend's business!' Perry thought to herself.

Perry finally made it to the center and there was... a mirror? She climbed up the steps towards the mirror and felt intrigued to touch the mirror. She reached out to touch the mirror but suddenly the barrier went back up and she was blown out of the mindscape.

"Sorry, I don't like it when people enter my mind without asking," Jack said aloud. Perry turned a crimson red "I'm so sorry, I-I didn't mean- ugh" Perry stuttered but then gave up trying to get a sentence out since she had no real reason to why she explored his mind. It was just a habit. Jack sighed. "It's fine, I guess. Just don't do it again," he said sounding annoyed. Perry looked down at her lap, trying to avoid any unwanted eye contact.

"How may I help?" a fish creature asked them with friendly tone but Perry knew he was hiding something. She looked him in the eyes and tried to enter his mind. 'Probably some travelers, I know what to do! Lead them out back and have me a feast. I mean it's not normal for humans to pass these parts'. 'He is going to eat us?!' Perry thought to herself. She needed to do something! "Yeah, we're adventurers, from Lounce Govern," Cole replied. The fish licked his lips and asked them to follow him. Perry knew how this would end up but everyone else was clueless. 'WHAT DO I DO?' Perry questioned. She was looking for any way to get out of this situation but what she didn't know was that Jack had a plan.

Jack's P.O.V

I saw Perry's nervous expression. She knew something that everyone else didn't, but I knew. I had been studying the fish creature ever since we got in. I saw what he would eat and from what I've seen, he's been drinking a red milky substance which I believe was human blood. This creature was leading us into a trap, but what he didn't know was that he was the one heading into a trap...
