- NARI'S POV -

After spending the day with the guys watching them practice for their new comeback, I decided to go home.

"Bye everyone!" I pick up my bag and turn to leave.

"Wait!" JB ran over to me. I took a step away from him and looked at my shoes, "Let me walk you."

"No, it's okay. I want to walk by myself." I really wanted him to walk with me, but at the same time I was still really nervous about the kiss we had earlier. I didn't want to look like an idiot in front of him.

"I insist. Let me walk you." He leaned closer to me. Without realizing it, I push him away.

I moved closer to the door with my eyes to the floor, "I'll see you guys later." I quickly looked up and saw confusion on JB's face. I felt bad, but I didn't want to feel pressured from him. I didn't even know if he was serious about our kiss or not. I was already hurt once by a guy, and I didn't want to be used and hurt again.

I trusted JB. It's just that once you've been hurt you put up guards around your heart to prevent it from happening again.

I walked out the door and sigh. 'This seriously sucks.' I frowned and kept walking.

Before I knew it I was already outside in the cold air. The wind bit at my cheeks. I kept walking and thought about JB. I really missed him even though I literally just left.

"Yah, Nari. What's wrong with you?" I mumbled to myself and sighed again. I grabbed at my backpack straps on my shoulders and kicked a rock in front of me. I was lost in thought when suddenly I bumped into someone.

"Sorry!" I slightly bow and keep walking still not paying attention.

"Yah, Nari! How are you going to bump into me and keep walking?" I look up when my name is said, and see Jackson standing in front of me.

"Jackson? What are you doing here?" I eyebrows scrunch up in confusion.

"I wanted to make sure you got home safely. Don't scrunch your forehead like that. You'll get wrinkles." He rubs the spot between eyes, then cups my cheek.

"You shouldn't walk alone. Someone could attack you, or hurt you." He looked deeply into my eyes. Everything started to get really intense.

"Well thanks for coming to my rescue." I smile to make the mood light, but he just smirks at me. Suddenly he puts his hands on my waist and leans in to my ear.

He softly whispers, "Don't be so naive."

My heart pounded in my chest. He pulled back and looked into my eyes again. He was seriously acting weird. I found my voice and whispered, "What are you doing Jackson?"

He looked from my eyes down to my bruised cheek. I watched him bite his bottom lip, then slowly lean in. I squeezed my eyes closed. His lips pressed to my bruise, then trailed down and softly kissed the side of my mouth.

I opened my eyes and looked at him looking back at me. Neither of us said a word. I thought my heart would explode. It hammered so hard in my chest that he probably heard it. He lightly smiled and took my hand.

"Geez, don't look at me like that. I might kiss you for real. Let's go get some coffee to warm you up." He pulled me behind him and lead us to a nearby Dunkin Doughnuts. The funny thing was I didn't need coffee to warm me up. My cheeks were already burning from Jackson's almost kiss. I wasn't going to say anything about that though.

"Hi welcome to Dunkin Doughnuts, can I take your order?" The worker lady asked. She looked like a high schooler. She looked Jackson up and down and completely ignored me. I rolled my eyes.

"Hmm... What do you want Nari?" Jackson asked me as he looked up at the menu.

"I'll have whatever you're having." I was starting to get annoyed at this chick for opening staring at Jackson's muscles under his sweater.

"Okay. Two cafe mochas please." I started pulling out my wallet to hand over my card.

"Two cafe mochas. Anything else? I could recommend something delicious if you like." She reached over the counter and touched Jackson's hand.

"How about a chocolate glaze doughnut, a vanilla cream filed doughnut, and for you to do your job properly before I tell your manager that you're openly flirting with customers." Jackson added calmly.

I burst out laughing. The worker's face turned blood red, "Sorry sir. I didn't mean too."

"Sure you didn't. Plus I don't want to make my girlfriend here mad at me." He winked at me and handed over his card.

My face grew hot and the worker stared at me and then quickly processed our order.

"Your doughnuts and coffee will be ready at the end of the counter." She looked like she was about to cry. Jackson then took my hand again, pulling me close to his body, and picked up our coffees and doughnuts.

"Let's get out of here." Jackson held the door open for me, and off we went into the night.
