A/N: This is mainly for Ehcimocs because she supports everything I do and she also said she needed more of this. I hope I can do it some justice for you! (:

Probably going to be smut somewhere in this so I'll just go ahead and rate it as R. *Update. I accidentally wrote 4K words and a lot of it was smut. Whoops... My finger slipped?*

It had been a week since Mitch had kissed Scott, and both of them were slightly unsure how to go about the situation. Yes, the kiss was wonderful and they fit together perfectly, but they were having a hard time transitioning out of the friend zone.

When you're stuck there for so long, it's hard to break platonic habits. Neither of them could fully muster up the courage to try and be physical with the other. Heaven knows if was something both the men thought about constantly, but the stalemate continued on.

It was Scott who finally decided to break the ice. The realization of how good Mitch could be with Scott was just too much of an opportunity for the blond to pass up.

-----

Mitch was grabbing a water out of the fridge when he heard the front door of their apartment open behind him. He wasn't surprised to see Scott closing and locking the door behind him, but he was surprised to see the enormous bouquet of flowers he was cradling in one arm, and the bottle of wine in the other.

"Scott?" He asked hesitantly, setting his now forgotten water on the counter behind him. "Wha....?" The red tinge burning Scott's cheeks was unmistakable and it brought a blush to Mitch's face as well.

"They're for you. I know roses are cliché and boring, but they're the only flower the shop had that fully describes how I feel about you, and I got the wine because I figured we probably have a lot to talk about and you're usually more comfortable talking about hard things when you have something to drink to calm you down. I just really want to make this as easy as possible for you because I know this is weird and hard..." Scott realized he was rambling and cut himself off. He couldn't bring his eyes up to the brown ones that he could feel boring into him.

Mitch didn't know how to react. He felt emotional about Scott's speech, but he didn't want to cry. He was sure he would end up crying at some point in the next few hours, but he didn't want it to be now. Instead, he wanted to know more. He took a step towards the tall frame in front of him and slipped the wine from his fingers before tangling his fingers with Scott's now free hand.

"You said the roses were the only flowers you could find to describe how you feel about me," he squeezed Scott's palm gently before turning his gaze up to meet those all too familiar blue eyes. "What do they mean?"

Scott took a deep breath and thought about how to phrase his answer. He wanted to say it properly and convey his feelings in the best way he could. He decided this was something they needed to be sitting for. His fingers that were already laced with the brunet's tugged them towards the couch. Scott sat and pulled Mitch down next to him before setting the bouquet in Mitch's lap. He didn't let go of his hand.

"I got three different colors for three different reasons and I'm going to probably mess up my words and stumble through this, so please hang in there." Mitch ran his thumb over Scott's knuckles to offer Scott encouragement and comfort. He was going to listen to everything Scott had to say. "I got the red ones for obvious reasons. Love, passion.... Romance. Red roses are common. I do love you, and I want you to know that. Maybe it's way too soon to say that for most conventional relationships, but we've always been anything but conventional. It's just how we are. I know I say that I love you all the time, but I don't mean it in a friendly way anymore. I mean it as I'm in love with you. I'm head over heels, and I wouldn't ever change that. You mean so much to me. You always have.
