A/N: I guess I'm feeling sappy and inspired today. This is short, and fluffy, and a little bland.

"Come on Mitchy! We have to go this way!" Fall had just settled and Scott immediately began begging Mitch to go apple picking with him. Mitch honestly didn't see the fun in walking through rows of apple trees for hours on end, but he finally agreed just to please his pouting boyfriend.

"Slow down, Carol! Not everyone here is eight feet tall!" Scott laughed and waited for Mitch to reach his side before weaving his fingers through the smaller hands that seemed to fit his so perfectly.

At Scott's touch, Mitch immediately felt waves of tension roll off his body. Scott was his comfort and safety, and Mitch was more dependent on his blond counterpart than he would like to admit; but he wouldn't change it for the world.

"Baby, look!" Scott pointed over his head to a particular group of apples that looked perfectly ripe and just the right color red. He stood on his toes to reach them but quickly realized he was too short, which wasn't a problem Scott usually had. Mitch laughed at the perplexed look on Scott's face but immediately stopped when the blue orbs landed on him. "Mitch...."

"Whatever you're thinking, absolutely no. Never. It's not happening."

"But Maria, I want them."

"There are literally seven trillion apples here and you have to have those?" Scott nodded instantly, causing an eye roll from Mitch. "Fine, what do you want."

"Just get on my shoulders! You could reach them that way." Mitch didn't like heights, but he trusted Scott.

It took some maneuvering but eventually Mitch was seated on Scott's shoulders with his legs dangling over Scott's chest, and large hands gripping his calves to keep him steady. The boost put him eye level with the group of apples, and he plucked a few before tapping Scott's shoulder. Scott lifted the smaller man and carefully set him back on his feet before grabbing one of the perfect fruits in his hands.

Scott bit down into it and audibly groaned in pleasure. Mitch smiled at the look on his face. It was times like these, when they were doing something so insignificant but fun, that Mitch wondered how he got so lucky.

Not everyone finds the person that's meant for them, but Mitch and Scott had found each other. They met when they were eight, became an official couple when they turned sixteen, and they've been going steady ever since. The men were barely twenty-four and had already been with each other for almost a decade.

Scott's eyes dropped to Mitch's once he finished his apple, and a soft smile spread across his features when he saw his boy lost in thought. He took a few steps closer to him and slipped his arms around the other man's small body.

"What are you thinking about so hard?" He asked, resting his cheek on top of the bald head under him.

"Just you, and how far we've come since we met all those years ago, and how insanely lucky I am to have found the one person I'm going to stay with for the rest of my life." Scott felt his heart warm and he leaned down to press a slow kiss against Mitch's lips.

"Was that a proposal?" Scott asked, teasing Mitch just slightly. He loved how emotional Mitch was and how much he cared.

"No. If I was proposing, I would have a ring." Scott laughed and stood up straight again before dropping his harm to his sides reluctantly.

"Mitchell Hoying. Has a nice ring to it," Scott winked. The topic of marriage had come up quite frequently recently, and both men had been thinking about.

Mitch and Scott both knew they were it for each other. There wasn't any other person in this world that was meant for either of those boys, so the idea of marriage was suddenly a reality. They already lived together, had pets together, and briefly discussed a possibility of children in the future.

"Have you ever thought about it," Mitch asked. He turned and settled his back against Scott's chest before tugging Scott's large arms around his body.

"Thought about marriage?" Mitch nodded and Scott bit his lower lip. "I think about it all the time, Mitchy. We could do it, you know. We could get married and buy a real house and keep building this life we've started." Mitch closed his eyes and tried to mentally paint the picture Scott was building in his head. It took Mitch a few moments to speak again, but he eventually did.

"Why don't we do it then?" He turned and let his gaze move up to meet Scott's blue eyes. "There's nothing holding us back." Scott swallowed and cocked his head to the side.

"M-Mitchy? Do you... Want to get married?" Mitch breathed out a gentle sigh before tangling his fingers through Scott's.

"I...... You're the first person to know that I don't believe that marriage is necessary, but I want to marry you Scott. You're the only person I'd ever be interested in marrying." Scott listened intently and then took a deep breath before cupping Mitch's face in his palms.

"So..... Am I Scott Grassi, or are you Mitch Hoying?" Mitch thought for a second before locking his lips to Scott's.

"Mitch Hoying. I'm yours."
