"Wow." Mitch had just gotten the door open and he was already blushing. "You look beautiful." The brunet attempted to brush the compliment off with a joke.
"I bet you say that to all the girls, huh?"
"Only the pretty brunettes I run over on sidewalks." Scott was good at making Mitch laugh. It was refreshing
"Aren't you just the charmer." The smaller man took a step to the side, inviting Scott in. "Come in. I need a few more minutes to get ready."
When Mitch reemerged into the living room he was met with the sight of Scott studying the pictures on one of the walls. Everything from baby pictures, to prom pictures, to family pictures were hung there and Mitch was immediately embarrassed by what he knew Scott was seeing. It took a few seconds for the blond to notice him but a smile drew on his face once he did.
"These are so cute. You've always been beautiful, huh?" Mitch found himself blushing yet again as he made his way over to Scott. "When was this?" The picture he was pointing at was from his senior prom.
"That was my last prom in high school. I think I was seventeen." Mitch looked young in the picture and he was wearing glasses. His best friend at the time was glued to his side in a dress that was the same color as his tie.
"And this one?"
"My sister's wedding. Three years ago. I was the best man and I sang for her reception." Scott nodded and moved his eyes from Mitch back to the wall of pictures.
"I think this one is my favorite." Mitch had to move closer to get a better look and Scott used this to his advantage by pulling the brunet in front of him and closing his arms around his middle. Mitch hesitated for a second before letting himself melt back into the larger man's embrace.
"Why is that one your favorite?" The picture wasn't anything special. It was just one of him and his mom on Christmas.
"Because it got you close enough for me to hold you." Scott squeezed Mitch just enough to emphasize his point.

"We're going to an aquarium?" The blond nodded and slipped out of the car before making his way over to open Mitch's door. "It's like nine at night on a Tuesday. There's no way they're open."
"Do you trust me?"
"That depends on whether or not I could go for jail for this!" Scott laughed and took the smaller man's hand in his own, interlacing their fingers.
"Just relax. I have a surprise."
Mitch tried not to panic when they got to the front doors that had the hours of operation printed in plan sight, and a bright red sign next to it warning people that the building had an alarm. Scott pulled his phone out of his pocket and pressed a few buttons before Mitch could hear it ringing in the night air. Someone answered after only three rings.
"Scotty!"
"Hey Uncle Ron. We're here."
"Oh! Door is open kiddo! Give the security guard a holler when you're leaving and he'll lock up! He knows you're coming so he won't panic."
Scott nodded and said his goodbyes before pushing the door open and pulling Mitch inside.
"So... family owned?"
"Yeah, my uncle is the owner. He told me if I ever wanted to bring anyone here without the crowd to let him know, but I've never brought anyone until now. This is going to be an adventure for both of us."
The aquarium was beautiful at night. Everything was dark except a few lights here and there, but all the exhibits were shining bright. The first few rooms were beautiful, but Mitch's favorite area was on the second floor. The pair walked hand in hand into another corridor and Mitch felt himself stop in his tracks at the sights before him.
There were jellyfish all around him, glowing all different colors in multiple tanks lining the room and it was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen.
"Oh my god. They're so beautiful!" The brunet found himself drawn to a particular tank with large jellyfish that were glowing bright green, and he wasn't sure how long he stood there staring before large hands came to rest in his hips from behind. "Look how pretty, Scott."
"I'm looking." His words sounded like they were coming from the wrong angle and when Mitch turned to look at him, he found Scott's eyes glued to his own face.
"Not the right way. They're over there." Scott grinned and slid his hands from Mitch's hips to a new position where they were locked together against the smaller man's stomach.
"I'd rather look at you. You're the prettiest thing in this city."
Mitch was good at telling when boys were just saying things to get him in bed. He could tell when the compliments were fake, and when the touches were alluding to something more, and from everything he could see, Scott was being genuine. There was nothing but sincerity in those stunning blue eyes and his touches were always hesitant and light as a feather. It was endearing.
"I don't even know you and I can tell I've never met anyone like you." Mitch bit his lip and turned in Scott's arms to look up at him. "Where did you even come from?"
"Venus." Mitch cracked a smile and let his palms come to rest on the taller man's chest. "I've been in this place for a year now. I came here as a tourist and decided it's where I wanted to live. Where did you come from?"
"I've been here since I moved out after high school. This has always been my city." Scott nodded and lifted his hand to Mitch's face. The brunet closed his eyes when a the pad of Scott's thumb traced along his cheek bone and he didn't miss the audible gasp from the blond.
"You really are so beautiful, Mitch. So, so beautiful." The smaller man could see, even in the dark, that Scott wanted to kiss him.
"Do it. I want you to."
"What?"
"Kiss me." Mitch gripped the front of Scott's shirt in his palms and tugged gently, urging the blond down to his level. "Please." Scott nodded and dipped his head down to close the space between their faces.
Mitch wasn't sure what he expected, but it wasn't to be overwhelmed but how natural and exciting the kiss felt. Scott's lips were soft and gentle, and he felt like his own lips were molded to fit the blond's. Tingles rolled down his spine at the contact but were quickly chased away by Scott's hands gliding down his back.
It was Scott who broke the kiss, but Mitch who spoke first.
"Who are you?" Mitch accepted the soft peck Scott offered him before he was being wrapped up in a strong embrace again.
"You should stick around and find out."
A/N: I guess this is going to be three parts lololol
