~Lexi's P.O.V~
Pain. That one word could be used to describe so many different feelings. Physical. Mental. Emotional. I'm pretty sure I'm feeling all of those at the same time right now. I blinked open my eyes to see white. White, everywhere, surrounding me, almost suffocating. I glanced around the white room seeing someone sitting in a chair, close to my bed. I recognized Sam with his eyes closed and softly snoring. I tried to move my arm and immediately regretted it as shocks of pain shot through it bringing me near to tears. Sam opened his eyes and stared at me. He must have heard my small whimper when I attempted to move my arm.
"Sammy?" He got out of the chair and stood next to my bed. "I'm here." He said smiling softly. "What happened?" I asked. "You were in an accident." He told me. Suddenly, horrid memories of the car whizzing in front of me and the sound of the crash and the smell of burned, charred flesh shot through my mind like a bullet. "Shit." I groaned thinking about the car. "Our car must be totaled." He looked at me oddly.
"I don't really care about the car right now." He said matter of factly.
I half heartedly grinned but my mind was on other subjects. Like the fact that I could hear Blake in the waiting room, arguing with a nurse. "Why can't he come in?" I asked Sam. He looked at me curious for a second then realized I was referring to Blake.
"I didn't know that you knew him..." He trailed off awkwardly. "Can he come in?" I asked him. Somewhat surprised by my urging, he nodded and left the room.
Soon after, I heard the clunk of his boots and smelled the leather that is his jacket. I opened my eyes to see his beautiful grey orbs staring into mine. I smiled. "Hey."
"Hey princess. You had us worried there for a bit." He said worriedly as if I was going to burst into flames at any second. Little did he know, I'm quite hard to kill by a simple car crash. Without saying anything else he wrapped his arms around me as I fell asleep.

I woke up again to see Sam in the chair snoring his ass off, but Blake was nowhere to be seen. "Hey!" I said to Sam throwing a cup at him. It hit him in the eye before he promptly caught it and glared at me playfully. "So, where did he go?" I asked.
His eyes softened. "Lex. Did you imprint?" My eyes widened. After a couple of moments that passed, I nodded.
He smiled. "Good, I'm glad. But tell him if he hurts you, I'll beat the shit out of him." I laughed. "He left because I told him to go to school. That boy sure is an excellent debater." He scoffed.
"So, he's at school." I asked. "No, I just told you, he's a good arguer. He went to get food." He commented leaning back in the chair.
"You should probably be able to leave in a few hours. Dr. Cullen is discharging you." A nurse said, poking her head through the doorframe. "Ok." I said looking at her strangely, then shifted my gaze to Sam when she left.
"He did that glamour thing to a few of the doctors and nurses so that you could get out of here quickly enough that no one would notice how fast you healed." He said in one breathe, not opening his eyes. For the first time, I was happy that Dr. Cullen was in the same hospital that I was.
About 5 minutes later, Blake walked in, carrying a box of pizza. "Hey." I smiled at him. He smiled back, then glanced at Sam, somewhat nervously. I sighed exasperatedly. "How did he threaten you?"
"It was something along the lines of strangling me with my own intestines while gouging out my eyes if I hurt you." He said seriously. I rolled my eyes. "But I don't have to worry because I wouldn't ever hurt you, princess." He said sitting down next to me and stroking my cheek.
"I'm a werewolf!" I blurted out then slapped hand hand over my mouth. He grinned. "I know. Sam told me everything." "And you didn't run for the door?" I asked in disbelief. "No way. I was always fascinated with those myths and legends as a kid. It's somewhat of a relief to find out that they're real."
"Thanks?" I said. And for the next couple hours, we sat like that. Eating pizza and joking around with each other until the nurse came in with the discharge papers.
Finally, I was a free woman. Well, as free as anyone can be with a cast on their wrist and leg and being wheeled out to a car by wheelchair. Ugh, at least I could remove these stupid binding wraps around my arms in a couple days because of my rapid healing. Sam lifted me into the back seat where Blake promptly sat next to me with Sam in the driver's seat.
We quickly made it home and got myself situated on the couch when the howl sounded. Sam looked up, worry in his eyes. I made a move to get up but Blake gently pushed me back down. "Stay here Lex." Sam muttered as he ran out of the house.
I frowned and without saying a word, turned the tv on and turned my full attention to it. Blake sighed and walked over to the pantry and put popcorn in the microwave. And we sat like that for hours on end, watching movies and eating popcorn until finally, Sam, Paul, and Jared came through the door.
I could sense the satisfaction they all shared which made me more furious than I already was. "What happened?" I urged.
"Took down a whole coven of those leeches." Paul remarked grabbing a handful of popcorn. I growled, upset at the fact that I had not been a part of the first real job there was. "There'll be others, Lex." Jared mumbled biting a muffin as he too stole half my popcorn. As Sam came toward my bowl, hand outstretched I rolled my eyes and threw it at him, popcorn spilling everywhere.
"Bullshit." I growled racing upstairs and slamming my bedroom door behind me.
