Chapter 24

Darkness and coldness was what surrounded me, I forced my eyes open and saw myself lying on the cold, hard ground staring at the roof of the garage. I coughed and grabbed onto the lounge pulling myself up off the floor and onto it. I looked up at the screen and watched as irons fell into flames than the character was pulled back. I felt tears fall as I saw Gideon there, I looked down sobbing quietly

"I got ya, Jaelyn" he said, I quickly looked up at him as he smiled

"It's ok" he said, I quickly turned the TV off before standing up, I gasped seeing blood on the ground. I breathed heavily touching the back of my head and feeling something wet there, I shook my head before going to the bathroom limping. I looked between my jeans rips and saw a large scar there, I looked in the mirror and moved my left sleeve and held my breath seeing a bullet hole and luckily it was closed. I moved my sleeve before walking out to the living room where my family sat.

"There you are" Mum said looking at me

"Oh what happened to your head!?" she yelled running over and checking my head

"It's fine" I said pushing her gently

"You need to go to the hospital" dad said, I rolled my eyes before smiling

"Yeah, I was planning on going" I said, he eyed me

"I want to see Mitchell" I said, they stared at me

"No, you can't see him" they said

"I'm 17! I can do what I want!" I said turning and walking out of the house, I started walking to the hospital.

I was near the hospital when I had to pass through the park which was fine besides when I was halfway through the park and heard Jack's voice, I stopped in my tracks hearing a girl laughing. I turned and saw a girl with long black hair and a short top and short shirt sitting on Jack's lap as he had his arms wrapped around her and he was smiling. I felt my whole world stop as I watched them kiss. I glared before shaking my head and taking a quick pic before running to the hospital.

I ran in and went to the counter where Jan was sitting, she smiled at me before seeing the blood on me

"Oh sweetie, what happened? OH nevermind that! We need to get that fixed up now" she said standing up

"Where's Mitchell? I want to see him" I said as she walked around to me

"We need to fix you up first" she said

"I need to see Mitchell" I said as I didn't even notice I was crying

"Ok, come" she said taking me through a long hall to another hall that had rooms, she stopped at one and opened the door. I walked in and saw Mitchell sitting up holding his left arm, I smiled widely

"Mitchell?" I asked making him look up at me. He smiled

"Hey Jae" he said, I ran over to him tackling him in a hug, he chuckled and hugged back smiling. I moved back and sat in the chair next to him

"How are you feeling?" I asked

"I feel.... Lost" he whispered, I gulped

"You've been in the coma for a while" I said

"How are you?" he asked, I looked at him

"I lost everything, Mitchell... well besides you" I said as I felt the tears falling

"I got you back" I said, he sighed losing his smile

"It's weird... what do we do?" he asked, I shook my head

"Forget it? Move on?" I asked

"I wont forget" he said

"I don't want to forget" I whispered when my phone buzzed, I took it out of my pocket and saw a message from Jack

'Hey baby'

I scoffed and replied 'Don't hey baby me, we're over you cheating, lying, backstabbing prick' I attached the picture and sent it before shutting my phone down and looking at Mitchell.

"I need to get my head checked out... so I'll be back" I said before walking out of the room over to Jan who was talking to someone. I stopped halfway over to them staring at the boy she was talking to, I looked at his neck and saw an English flag tattooed onto his neck. I felt my heart starting to beat faster as my breath got caught in my throat. Jan walked off and the boy turned to me, my eyes went wide.

"Gideon" I whispered
