Chapter 28

While he was broadcasting, & after I said hi to everyone, I went downstairs to make myself some food.

Sarah was down there, eating on the couch. I decided to sneak up behind her.

"BOO!"

She jumped and then grabbed my shirt.

"I. Hate. You." She said

"I love you too" I cheesed, then hugged her tight.

"So how is everything?" She asked, while motioning me to sit down.

"I mean, pretty good."

"How're you and Wes?"

This question caught me off guard.

"What?? What do you mean, we're good as usual." I said defensively.

"You guys are so dumb." She said casually and rolled her eyes.

"Sarah!" I slapped her arm playfully.

"You guys can bullshit each other, but you can't bullshit me.. So this time, answer honestly. Howre you and wes?"

"We're okay I guess, I'm torn on whether I want something to happen or don't." I confided.

"I get that. I don't know, I've known since the moment I saw you guys together that you're right for each other.. And I mean that in any way you want to take it."

"To be honest; I'm kinda just scared. Like I promised Rose id protect him, buttt, if something happens between us and it ends us all together, I can't do that.. And then I let her down too."

I rubbed my head.

"I think you're doing exactly what she meant by 'protect him', we talked and we both agree. Wes hasn't been this happy in a long time. Most of the time it was just a mask."

My heart fluttered, I make him happy.

"Anyways, I am hungry! And I want food!" I whined to Sarah.

"Cmon."

She led me to the kitchen, and directed me to sit on the counter while she cooked for me.

"I love you, but you already know that." I said While she handed me my food.

She smiled and nudged me to go back upstairs.

From outside his door, I could hear him talking to everyone.

"I'm so stoked for my music to come out!" She enthusiastically said.

I walked in and he turned.

"Hey nik. Come here."

He opened his arms for me to lay underneath them.

I layed down and read as all the comments kept scrolling. One in particular stuck out.

@tattedupwes: 'Wes, did you ask Nikki yet?'

I decided to be nosey,

"Ask me what?" I responded to her comment.

"Oh, nothing." He suspiciously glanced at me and then made a face at the camera.

I hit his back,

"Wesssss, tell me!!" I begged.

"it's nothing." He repeated.

"Pleaseeeeeee." I shook him.

"Y'all see how annoying she is?? Thanks guys, now she's never going to give up." He sarcastically sighed.
