Chapter 39

Syd and I pulled up to a beautiful house which had the address Evan texted me.

We got out of the car and rang the doorbell, a few seconds later, a guy who was tall and lanky answered the door.

"So you must be nikki and Sydney." He smiled

"Yup, we sure are, and you are?" Sydney smirked.

"Nate." He smirked

"Nice."

Syd said, then grabbed my arm and pushed passed him. She's so confident.

"Ok then." He muttered and stood there in the doorway.

My eyes met with Evan, and he smiled warmly. I approached him, while syd sat on the couch and got to know Nate.

"Hey, what's good Shawty?" He tried to sound cool.

I laughed in response.

"Please don't ever say that again." I laughed again.

"Why? You don't like it?" He joked.

"Not one bit."

He looked at me for a minute, then changed the subject.

"You wanna watch movies and shit?" He asked.

"Sure, got any snacks?" I smiled shyly.

"My kinda girl, I gotta be with someone who likes to eat just as much as me."

I blushed slightly and then walked over to a cabinet which I assumed has food in it.

Since I'm so short, I couldn't reach and I tried to hop, but nothing worked. Rather than Evan helping me, he just sat back and laughed at me.

I turned around and pouted.

"You gonna help me or no?" I asked.

"Yeah, that was just priceless." He smiled.

He walked over and opened the cabinet and got everything. We walked into the living room, to find Sydney, and Nate on the couch.

His arm was around her, which made me think about christian and her, but they're not dating so I guess it's okay. I'll ask her later.

Evan sat down and I sat on the opposite side of the couch. He was staring at me.

"What?" I questioned.

I started fiddling with my hair, insecure.

"You think I bite? Get over here. You're too far." He pouted.

I smiled and slowly moved closer to him.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder loosely.

I thought of wes.

The movie started and it was rings, the scary one with the little girl and the video that if you watch, 7 days later you die.

To be honest, it doesn't even matter to me that this movies fictional, I still don't watch the video just to be safe.

Never have, never will.
