"No man, stop it -" Eve's twin, Violet, struggled against Eve's grip.
"You can't date him, Vee, it's a fact that he's a-"
"A what?" Eve's face went pale at what she had been about to say and she let go of her twin's arm, who glared at her as she made her way to the door.
Violet spun around once more to face Evelyn. "This is not okay, okay Eve?" She sighed, putting her hands on her hips. "I like him and you need to accept that."
"Fine, whatever," Eve mumbled, rolling her eyes and folded her arms. What can you do? She tried warning her. Especially because, well, Eve knew better than anyone that Jack wasn't sincere when dating girls. He cheated a lot. Violet was too 'in love' to see this though so Eve had to wait, as much as she hated waiting.
"Have fun," she sighed, resigned. "You look beautiful by the way," she called as Violet managed a smile in return and left.
Finally some quiet time.
But, was it even love? Was it not deep infatuation, or something? Ugh. Why were these things so hard to figure out?
Eve loved it when she had the house to herself, it was big and many workers lived with Eve and her family. She disliked being called rich, it did not define her but obviously many people never understood that.
Especially not Jack.
Great, she thought, as she plopped down on the couch and switched on the TV, just great. Now I'm thinking about the 'hottest couple in school' again.
For the record, she hated Jack, if that wasn't obvious enough. She also hated labels. She strongly disliked a few aspects of her school, but what could one do other than accept it.
It was around dinner time when she heard the front door open. Evelyn's face brightened; she stood up and switched off the television. She skipped to the door, her smile already wavering as she saw not only Violet, but Jack, and not only those two but also him.
She stared at him and he stared right back. Uh, hello? What was Violet thinking? But God, he was hot. His name was Kai. He had the most beautiful tan with his dark curls and blue eyes. Damn it, Violet!
"Hey," Eve said awkwardly. Violet raised her eyebrows at her. Eve wasn't sure whether V was close to Kai or if he was Jack's friend or both, but she felt self-conscious.
"How was the party?" She tried to ignore Kai's amused stare who followed her every time she moved.
"Good," Violet said timidly as her face reddened. Eve's jaw dropped. Was she being serious? Violet was never shy!
"Let's play a game!" Jack said excitedly grabbing both Eve's hand and Violet's and dragging them to the living room. Uh-oh. Eve knew exactly what it meant.
"Guess what, E?" Violet whispered when no one else could hear. "They're sleeping over!!"
Oh. Wait. They?
Oh no. No no no.NO.
"What?" She hissed back at her, her heart beating fast.
"Let's play Truth or Dare," Jack announced, smugly looking at Eve just to piss her off, while Eve was doing anything to avoid Kai's good-looking appearance. Did Kai know she liked him? Eve did not even want to know.
"Yes! Ok, I'll start!" Violet sounded enthusiastic and Eve was not the least bit surprised. "Eve, truth or dare?"
Because Eve hated telling anyone anything about herself, she chose the other option. "Dare."

Genel Kurgu"Kai?" Eve frowned. "What are you doing here?" "I came back for something that was originally meant to be mine." "What's that?" Jasper, Eve's supposed fiancé, asked defensively. "My Eve."
