Five Months later...

You let out a yawn as you thanked the babysitter, Ingrid. "Thank you so much for your help, Ingrid." You smiled at your elderly neighbor.

"It's a pleasure, Y/N. Most kids I babysit are usually noisy little brats, but your son is a complete angel. I envy you, most of my kids were always crying or causing havoc even when they couldn't crawl." Both women let out a chuckle before bidding goodbye.

You walk back to the apartment with your child who woke up from the sudden movements. Instead of crying, he lets out a shriek of joy as he sees your tired face.

You had just come from a graveyard shift and you still barely had any money to survive for the week. You had to pay bills, clothes, food for the child and money for transportation. It was the typical American Hustle Life.

You felt yourself forget your worries as your baby held his hands up at you.

"Taekwon, you gotten so big." You giggle as you give your baby Eskimo kisses.

Taekwon lets out cute giggles as you kiss his chubby cheeks. His little brown eyes sparkle as his little hands reach out for your hair. You grabbed his little chubby hands as you admire the beauty of your child.

He had light brown eyes and short, brown hair, which was starting to grow out. He lets out a gummy box shaped smile, making you giggle. He was so adorable, he almost looks like his f-

You stop mid thought as you felt your heart clenched at the sudden realization that your child was the splitting image of his estranged father. After staring deeply into your son's face, you let out a sad smile.

"Well, at least you'll be handsome." You sighed out as Taekwon gave you a dazed stare. You grab his bottle and start to feed him. After he had finished his bottle, he quickly fell asleep.

"Unlike your father, you're a quiet child," You giggled. You placed a final kiss on his forehead before placing him in his tiny crib. You walk towards the living room to take a nap on the couch. You let out a content, but tired yawn as you laid down for a nap.

.............

"Y/n..." You open your eyes to see your best friend holding out a letter for you. She bit her lips nervously as she sat down next to you.

You gave her a confused stare as she hands you the letter with a worried look. You grabbed the envelope, and stared at the address. You stared at the letter in curiosity, it was sent from South Korea with a name and address you did not recognize. You open the letter and felt your heart stop when you saw what was inside.

It was a check of at least $5,000 and it was signed for you. Who sent you this check? You digged inside the envelope to find another piece of paper. You felt yourself gulp as you nervously open the letter. You recognized the messy handwriting. As your eyes scanned the letter, your tears slowly slide off your cheek, botching up the ink. With a shaky breath, you read aloud for your friend to hear:

Dear Y/N,
