Francis stood up from his bed after a few minutes of just lying down and doing nothing. He was still trying to wrap his head around everything that had happened between him and (Name). He had actually seen her and felt her, and he needed her help. The sun was already starting to rise higher so it was at least dawn by now. What could he do by tonight if he was really supposed to meet (Name) again?
Maybe he should visit Arthur and get some information from him. They weren’t the best of friends but maybe he knew more about fairy tales and mythical creatures than he did. Arthur even had a magic creature he calls Flying Mint Bunny that apparently only he could see. If Arthur couldn’t help then maybe his older brother Allistor could. He knew a lot about mythical creatures too, possibly even more than Arthur. Then again they weren’t the best of friends either.
He didn’t have time to think about that though. He had to figure out how to get more information before he saw (Name) again but first he had to have something to eat. He walked into his kitchen and started making a French omelet for breakfast after pouring a glass of milk for himself. This should be enough to last him for a while.
He ate his breakfast washed his dishes before going outside to see his bicycle parked outside of his house where he normally parked it. He remembered leaving it behind at the beach before he went after (Name). How it was here now he would never know but this was another thing he had no time to worry about. He got onto his bicycle and pedaled his way to Arthur’s house.
He parked his bicycle outside of Arthur’s house and stepped off of it. He knocked on Arthur’s door and waited for him to answer the door. “What are you doing here, frog?” Arthur asked, folding his arms over his chest.
“I came here to ask for your help,” Francis said.
“My help? Help for what?”
“It’s a bit difficult to explain actually.”
“Go ahead and start explaining while I make tea.”
“So you’ll help me?”
“That depends on what your situation is. You don’t usually come to me for help so it must be something important. Just come in.”
Francis nodded and walked into Arthur’s house while Arthur went to the kitchen to make tea. “Go ahead and sit down and start telling me what you need help with.”
Francis sat down at Arthur’s round table as Arthur made himself busy with his tea. “I’ve been having these weird dreams lately,” Francis said.
“What kind of weird dreams?” Arthur asked as he started to pour the tea into two cups for both of them.
“For a while now I’ve been seeing a mermaid girl whose name I just learned is (Name).” Arthur set his cup of tea in front of him as he spoke. He took a sip of it before he started talking again. “Usually in my dream it was just the scenery and her and I never saw her face. But I saw her face and heard her voice for the first time just recently.”
“How recently?
“The night before Alfred and Kiku found me washed up on the beach. I had seen her much more vividly in my dream, and I actually saw her that night and last night as well.”
“In your dreams?”
“No, at least I’m certain those times weren’t dreams at all. I could see and feel her last night when I met her at the beach last night.”
“Did she say anything?”
“Yes. She said she needed my help to escape a sorcerer trying to steal her power, and that she left some of her powers with me around the time I first started having dreams about her.”
