Well, ever since that night, Patrick and I had really been considered a couple, and naturally, I had a lot of explaining to do after I kissed him. Like, why I kissed him, why I was crying, and why I was being so nice to him. I could easily explain all of those questions; I kissed him because I felt drawn to the kid and because I just really wanted to, I was crying because the things he'd been through all his life was basically identical to mine, and I was being so nice to him because, like I said, I felt something for him and I really wanted to be him friend, well, more than his friend. What a catch he is.

We each finished our four years at school and about two years into college, we got an apartment together. Let me tell you, that was one of the best descions I think we've ever made. I honestly think Patrick and I get along better than any other people I know. I'm not denying the fact that we have a little arguement every now and again, but we always resolve it a little while later. That's what good about us; we can see each others view points and are able to understand where the other is coming from, so we can resolves our disagreements easier and faster. Every little thing Patrick does is pure perfection. He, himself, is pure perfection. I've never clicked with anyone else the way I click with him.

Oh, and might I mention that we started a band? Since it was both Patrick and I's dream to be in a band, I decided that we should try and we're actually doing well. We got together with some of my old friends from highschool and we created Fall Out Boy. Things could not be better!

"Are you excited?" Patrick asked me as he wrapped his arms around my waist, bringing me back to reality.

"How could I not be?" I asked as I wrapped my arms around his.

"I am too," he said. "It's our first Christmas alone together in our apartment, you know without family this year."

"Yeah, honestly, I'm happy to just have you here with me," I said as I spun around. "I couldn't ask for anyone better."

"Pete," Patrick said as he blushed. "I feel the exact same way."

"Like what is this considered?" I asked.

"What?" Patrick asked.

"Like happy Christmas Eve? Merry Christmas Eve? Like is there even a special name?" I asked.

"Oh my fucking god," he said as he practically face-palmed himself. "And I think it's merry Christmas happy Eve."

"Smartass," I said as I kissed him.

"Look who's talking," he said as he kissed me back.

Things, let me tell you, got a little heated on the couch, but not that far. I stopped him before things could go that far. I wanted this to be special, so I stopped it and Patrick understood.

"So, you want to finish decorating the tree?" Patrick asked as he smiled at me.

"Hell yeah!" I said. "But one thing first."

"And what's that?" he asked.

"This," I said as I grabbed a Santa hat off of the table and put it on his head. "There you are, my little elf."

"Dick," he said as he kissed my cheek. "Then you get this."

"I get what?" I asked.

"This," he said as he laughed and put light up deer antlers on my head.

"I look pathetic," I said.

"No, you look adorable," he said.

"Looks who's talking," I said as I kissed his forehead.

"I'm going to put the tree topper on," he whispered in my ear.

"No way! No fucking way! You promised I could!" I said as I practically bolted towards the box with the tree topper in it.

"I'm joking! Calm down!" Patrick said as he laughed.

"I love Christmas, ok?" I said as I smiled and stretched and put the tree topper on.

"I couldn't tell," he said as he laughed again and wrapped his arms around me.

We spent the rest of this perfect evening on the couch watching Christmas movies and singing Christmas songs. Oh, and we also made Christmas cookies! Not to toot my own horn, but they were pretty damn good! Patrick and I had almost cleared the entire batch by the time we went up to bed.

"Goodnight Peter Panda," Patrick whispered as he snuggled up closer to me in bed.

"Goodnight Tricky," I said as I kissed him softly.
