Well, that Christmas with Patrick, Joe, and Andy was probably the best one ever, despite Patrick not feeling up to par. He felt better once we got home though, so that was a good thing. We spent the rest of the night on the couch in each others arms. That's where I liked to be the most.
The next week or so was pretty good too, despite Patrick getting sick almost every morning. Frankly, it was starting to worry me. I'm going to talk to him today about going to the doctor.
"Again?" I asked Patrick as he walked out of the bathroom.
"Yeah," Patrick replied with his head down.
"Baby, I'm starting to get really worried," I said. "This has been happening almost everyday since Christmas."
"I am too, honestly," he said.
"Why don't you go see a doctor?" I suggested.
"I don't really want to, but I suppose it'd be for the best," he said.
"I think so," I said. "I'm getting really worried."
"Alright," he said. "I'll go see when I can get in."
"Thanks baby," I said as I kissed him.
I watched him go back upstairs to get his phone. I sat back on the couch and turned the tv on. A few minutes later, Patrick came down and sat next to me.
"I can get in later today," he said. "Around two."
"Good," I said as I pulled him into my arms.
"I'm scared, Pete," he said. "Like, what if it's something serious?"
"I am too, babe, but we can't let that control us. We need to stay calm and just think positively," I said.
"You're right," Patrick said. "Still though."
"I know," I said as I kissed him and held him in my arms.
