He enters into the garden with soft steps as his shoes lightly clicks on the stone path. Amateurish skills in stealth but he has gotten better after so many nights like these. Easily using his vampiric powers to bypass the guards or dogs.

As he is about to quietly enter a hidden passage created by the garden's ivy a hand pulls him in. He doesn't let out a yelp but he does punch whoever grabbed him. Though his attempt fail when his attacker easily deflect it with a slap, he use this chance to kick the culprit away, just like a certain Hunter taught him personally.

"Oof!" His attacker says in pain before revealing himself, "Leo stop. It's me, Niles."

Upon hearing the doctor's voice Leo release his stance and push the man into the clearing, a small space that the passage leads. An enclosed area with walls covered in wilting ivy. Brown vines twists its form on the grated ceiling and from the openings moonlight seep through. White chamomiles litters the ground and practically overtook the overgrown grass. This is the place where the two of them both first met.

Today Niles is a physician specialized for vampires however that wasn't always the case. A fateful night seven years ago, Niles, an American outlaw, was running away from the manor after a heist gone wrong. The vampire was set up to be a scapegoat by his partners while they made off with the riches. They cruelly cut off his escape routes and forced him to hide in order to survive, which he stumbled upon this small space. He found Leo, a child of 10 years old, sitting in the clearing with a book in hand.

The night was lit up by the flashlights of the guards, diligently searching for Niles. Meeting Leo was not in his calculations and he used him as a hostage which the boy didn't resist. Unfortunately that choice brought upon his capture and he soon found out that the prestigious de Nohrs ruthlessly murdered his 'allies' since they stole the wife's necklace. Niles accepting his undeniable fate of death freely offered up his head when the master of the house gave Leo the chance to choose how Niles will die. However the 10 year spoke to the 21 year old in the eye, "I'll hire you to be my bodyguard."

Niles couldn't understand the decision of the person so much smaller than he is until he saw the sadness from their eyes. Instinctively he knew that this child also understood what it was like to be used as a tool. The one-eyed man accepted the offer and chose to stay even though Leo gave the flirt multiple chances to leave.

The reason why Niles became a doctor or more accurately a nurse was after an event five years ago. In Paris, a large gathering was happening were all of the children of Garon de Nohr would be required to come. However it ended with a bloodbath filled by the mistresses and children. Leo was heavily wounded and Niles had limited knowledge in medical aid, nearly costing the boy's life if it weren't for Niles' skills in escaping the mansion turned cage and luck in finding a hospital for vampires. After that Niles had devoted himself to learn how to treat more dire injuries.

This was supposed to be a way for Niles to redeem himself after that night of fire but Leo kept giving. Leo noticed his brilliance and pushed the man to get a proper education as a nurse and paid the expenses at a shocking age of 13, with money he collected from tournaments and papers about botany the genius wrote. Honestly Niles doesn't understand why his employer is still in school when he can get scholarships to places like Harvard in his teens. Due to this Niles decided to be forever loyal to the brilliant man called Leo de Nohr.

"Why are you here Niles?" Leo asks.

"I could say the same for you Leo." Niles replies smartly with a smirk. He crosses his arms and casually scans the other up and down. The boy is nicely dressed in movable clothing, a few ideas pops up. He jokes, "A meeting with a lover?"
