Unfamiliar sheets rub against his skin. The fabric is rougher and he didn't recognize the scent of lavender mingled with it. He opens his eyes to only see a white wall. The color white was slightly incorrect since it was colored a light grayish-blue from the early sun.
Though laying in a stranger's bed is still a problem.
Leo slides himself off the bed to sit on its edge. He wanted to walk out of the room but notice the constricting feeling on his chest. He recognized that he was wearing a different set of clothing. More than that he finds his long-sleeved shirt covers the blood-soaked bandages neatly wrapped on him. Leo lightly touches his body and feels no pain.
Two things could be decided from this. The first could be that he healed after being shot or stabbed by regular means in one night, or he was attacked by silver and been out for several days to heal completely. Leo can only hope it was the former.
Leo searches his memory for a clue but nothing is concrete. His memory hazy and unreliable. At one point it just suddenly cuts off. He can't be sure if he had even killed Takumi. Yet the more unsettling fact was that he is very calm about this. Leo knows he was violent.
What happened?
His brown eyes scan the room to find it to be simplistic. White walls, white ceiling, a white bed, a metal standing lamp, a window with unclosed gray shades, and lastly one wooden door painted white. The size of the room is small because on both opposing sides of the bed the wall was nearly two feet away. Leaving only the double-hung window to peer above the bed. Then about a couple of feet away was the door. The room felt deprived of character.
"Are you awake?" The door creaks open.
Leo looks at the door with a faint sense of hope. He admits he was expecting Takumi to come popping in like nothing happened but the voice didn't match—it was too high.
What meets his eyes is a girl. She has a youthful appearance of entering adulthood. Yet the way she elegantly presents herself was filled with experience and maturity that reminded him of his elder siblings. Her brilliant, unique blue hair is long and has a similar shine just like Takumi's. She wears a decorated headband that matches her outfit, a long white sweater drapes on her shoulders and the dark blue shirt and skirt contrast against her pale skin. The brilliant gold accents on her clothing match her eyes. Those rare gold eyes that Leo can feel peering into him feels too soulful to be real.
"Where is Takumi?" He asks cautiously, unsure if he should really be trusting her. Leo's concern is more on Takumi than on where he is. Yet Leo couldn't get this nagging idea that he recognized her out of his head. If so, he doesn't know how, despite, her eyes reminded him of someone.
"I want to see if you healed properly." She dismisses his question and instructs him, "Remove your shirt."
Leo complies. He didn't feel any pain in his movements, so following her instruction was easy. Not even taking a glance at him she begins to unwrap him without warning. Her careful technique reminds Leo of Niles.
