Niel (Exo)

I could only sit and watch as my dad was laying there in the bed. All the wires connected to him really scared me. I hadn't talked to him since just before that day with Nikki, but that had gone out the window when I walked into the room and saw him lying there. And then I was crying yet again. All I could think about was Rayne and the kiss I gave her. I didn't know how she had taken it. I had been cowardly and run before she knew really what was going on. Though, however afraid I was of what could happen, I needed her with me. I had been debating whether or not to ask her to come to me for the past hour. She needed to be at the camp, but yet I really needed her support. I sighed and gave in.

"Hello?" A voice asked.

"Hey manager Hyung, it's Niel," I answered. I had really given in and called him.

"Hey, Niel. Wasn't expecting to hear from you. What's up?"

"Can you bring Rayne here?"

"Why?"

"I need her here. I need her support."

"More than likely I can. But she'll be there probably tomorrow afternoon or evening. Considering how late it is already."

"Okay. Thanks."

"No problem Niel. I'm glad you're reaching out to someone other then L.Joe."

"Bye then."

I hung up without waiting for his response. Now just to wait until Rayne was here. I sat down in the window seat and just stared out it. Hopefully, by this time tomorrow Rayne would be here to comfort me. After a few minutes, I began to doze off. It was the first time I had felt sleepy at all that day.

A commotion the next day woke me up. I sat up and rubbed my eyes to clear them. What the heck was going on? What time was it?

"Here you are miss," I heard someone say, probably a nurse.

"Thank you," another said.

I bolted up at that and was instantly awake. Rayne was here. I rushed to her and grabbed her into a hug as soon as the door was closed. She dropped her stuff to wrap her arms around me. My comfort was finally here. Tears sprung to my eyes. Rayne pulled away and picked her things up. When she had set them down, she held her arms open to me again. And I ran to them without a second thought. Rayne just held me as I started to cry.

"It's gonna be okay Niel," she quietly murmured to me.

I couldn't manage words at all. I opened my mouth to talk, but nothing came out. But Rayne just held me and comforted me. We sat on the window seat and she just held me until my tears stopped. Slowly, I got a better grip on myself. My emotions were still were all over the place, but my tears weren't the first thing anymore.

"It's gonna be okay Niel. I'll be here for you," Rayne repeated to me.

My eyes widened as I looked at her. "You're gonna stay?"

"I am."

"But the concert."

"What about it?"

"You open the show."

"You need me more and I can easily do something else to make it up to everyone."

"But Rayne."

"No protesting. I'm staying here with you. You need me here. I can tell."

"Did you get a chance to talk to L.Joe?"

"I told him what you were up to. He knew about your dad and where you were. Though he was shocked you asked for me instead of him. But he told me he thought it was good."
