Chapter Two - Keeping up with the 'Impressions'
Dustin found a car park that was close to the front doors in no time. A couple of students that were already on school grounds were staring at Dustin's car a Grey Kahn Jeep Wrangler.
"Out, out, out, out!" Dustin said shooing us out of his car so he could lock up.
"Impressions. People. Impressions" Mel said confidently as she opened the back door and walked towards the school door looking over her shoulder sending a wink at us, earning a few catcalls from a group of Jocks.
"You look like your about to pounce on someone Kat" Amei said nudging me with a knowing look after we exited the car.
I turned around looking at her, she was wearing dads' old navy blue and silver football jersey with 'VALENTINE' plastered on the back with dads' number on the back and front. 88. With a pair of white skinny jeans rolled up at the ankles completing her fashion choice with Nike Air Max Zero.
I tugged at her hair that was in a French Braid pigtails.
"Looking good there Ames. Not too shabby, although it would be best to inform me if your going to borrow my shoes." I said smiling at her, causing her to poke her tongue at me.
"Hey! What about me?" Cassie said stepping in front of us twirling around.
"You look good Cass." Amei answered in a bored tone grabbing her bag from the back closing the door.
"Exactly what Amei said. You look gorgeous, young grasshopper." I said more enthusiastically looking at her briefly.
She sighed in response to the lack of compliments. I threw moms lipstick in the front pocket of my backpack after applying it on looking at my reflection in the window.
"Let's go!" I said turning around and smiling at Cassie who still looked down.
I slung my arm around her shoulder and pulled in Amei as well with my jacket dangling over her shoulder. Cassie was wearing a denim button up under the maroon sweater that I bought her last year as a gift with a pair of black jeans and brown lace up boots. With a long necklace to go with her outfit along with several bracelets she wore on her left hand. She wore her hair in a loose bun with a braid in her.
"You look great Cassie. Same goes for Amei and I. We look abosolutely dashing." I said confidently adding a wink to my sisters as we made our way to the front door passing a couple of guys standing outside grinning at me in a 'Hey mami' way.
Another reason why I don't wear this mom.
"No, thank you. Your eyes are not welcome here." I said as I flipped them the bird. A few of them looked away whilst the rest kept giving me perverted grins.
"Come on slow pokes!" Dustin yelled behind me causing Amei, Cass and I to stop and turn around at the same time glaring at him.
"Dustin darling.... When did you get here?" I said attempting to channel some posh british accent causing Amei to snicker at Dustin with Cassie covering her laugh with a cough. Dustin hates be called Darling or any other form of endearment.
"You know what Kat?" He asked me, a smile forming on his stupid face.
I raised an eyebrow in question.
"You can find your own way home." He replied shoving pass me knocking my shoulder a little swaggering into the school office with Mel stepping out of it raising an eyebrow at Dustins figure who brushed pass her.
I stopped outside the door and turned to Cassie and Amei before we walked in.
"You ready Cassie?" I asked her moving my hands away from Ameis shoulder placing both of my hands on her shoulders staring at her.
