Sorry for the short chapter last time. This one will be longer though, so get comfy! Also, above video is for background noise during this chapter I thought sounded kinda cool so play that if you want to.

"I think it's gonna rain" Teri says as she walks back in, soaking wet. I grab a blanket and hand it to her as I close the door. I look out the small window and see that it's really pouring outside. There's a flash of lightning, followed by another boom of thunder.

"Well," I say, "looks like we're not going anywhere for a while.". DJ hangs up his phone that he was just on.

"Yeah," he agrees, "my grandma just called to tell me we should just stay in here until it let's up. We should be safe since there's no trees that could fall on us. Guess it was smart to build this house in a clearing.". He stands up and locks a little latch on the door, explaining it keeps the wind from blowing it open.

I shut the blinds and turn off the lights, since they might go out anyway. I find an emergency lamp and turn it on. It's bright enough to light up most of the room. We all sit on the bean bag chairs and the floor and gather up the snacks left in the fridge.

Teri is the first to say something. "So...what do you guys want to do now?". We all shrug. Then I think of something.

"Do you guys wanna play Uno? We have the card set in here." They all say yes so I get the cards and we start to play.

(Le time skipey)

By the end of our game no one is friends anymore. To many color change cards were used. Finally, Teri got frustrated and threw the cards everywhere.

After picking them all up, we sit back down and try to think of something else to do. It's still raining and it actually sounds a bit relaxing.

Ryan speaks up, "So Katy, how long have you been back anyway? You never mentioned earlier."

"I just moved back a couple weeks ago." I explain.

"And I've been her BASFF ever since!" Teri proclaims.

"What's BASFF mean?" Ryan asks.

Teri answers, "Uh, Best Annoying Shipping Friend Forever. Duh." Like its the most obvious thing ever.

I roll my eyes at her, laughing slightly. While her and Ryan keep talking, I notice how DJ has been quiet. Again. I gotta get him to start talking more.

"So, DJ. Ryan. Have you guys been sticking together much since I left?" I ask. Ryan looks at DJ, then me.

"Actually," he says, "we sorta drifted apart in middle School." I look at DJ again, for an explanation but he just sits there, glaring at Ryan as if mentally sending him a message. And that message screamed 'shut up!'.

"Why, what happened between you guys?" I need to know.

"Well, you see, DJ was getting bu-" Ryan's cut off by DJ, who stood up abruptly.

"Just shut up Ryan! Shut. Up.". I've never heard him yell at someone like that. "It's not for you to tell, so you better stop talking! It was your fault anyway!". Now Ryan is standing and facing DJ.

"My fault? How the hell was it possibly my fault?!" Now me and Teri are up, keeping them from being punching distance from each other. "The whole thing was your own damn fault DJ! If you hadn't-".

"Oh bull shit Ryan! It was your fault alright! Who never came to help me after? Who never stopped it in the first place? Huh? It was all. Your FAULT!" DJ yells the last word louder than the others and the room goes silent.

After about a minute, Ryan speaks, barely above a whisper.

"You know one thing that definitely wasn't, my fault.".

DJ's expression shifts from one of rage, to one of pure shock and sadness. Then, he turns, walks over to the door, and runs outside.

Of course, I go after him. Why wouldn't I after that! He's in the middle of the clearing when I shout over the sound of rain, "DJ! Stop!".

He turns around and yells back, "Not now Kathy okay!". He's trying to sound mad but I can tell he's upset.

"But, what the heck was that? What happened while I was gone that your not telling me?". Silence.

"DJ, I'm your best friend, don't you trust me with this?". He looks up and all I see is sadness and remorse in his eyes.

"Just go back inside Kathy," he says,"I'm going back to the house to keep Nanna company.". And with that, he turns, and runs up the trail that leads back to the house.

Leaving me standing in the rain, confused as to what happened to my best friend.

Well.

I can honestly say that I didn't know the chapter would go this way. But it works so oh well. What do you think? What are DJ and Ryan talking about? What's the one thing that Ryan mentioned that made DJ leave?

Guess you'll find out later! Haha!

Until we meet again my friends!
