Maddie's POV

I was sat in my room making to finishing touches to the drawing of Bucky's arm. I was colouring it in when I heard a knock on the door. Once I had placed my sketch pad down, I walked over to the door and opened it to see Steve standing there. "Hey, S. How are you?" I said using the nickname I gave him when I first meet him, because when he said his name I only heard the S so it kind of became something I would sometimes call him. "I'm good M. How are you?" He asked using the nickname he gave me after I called him S, and again it kinda just stuck. "I'm very well, thank you. Please come in." I said and opened the door wider to let him in. He stepped in and sat down on my bed and picked up my notepad. "Good, you haven't finished the drawing for Bucky yet. He wanted to add somethings to it." Steve told me as I sat next to him. "Ok. But why didn't he come over?" I asked picking up my pencil so I could draw what he wanted. "He isn't very good with words yet but don't worry. He'll warm up to you." Steve said and started to tell me what Bucky wanted.

I had finished the drawing and was walking back down to Tony so I could give it to him. When I walked in I saw him and Bucky talking so I decided to wait before I said anything. After a few minutes they stopped so I went over to him. "Tony, your drawing." I said and gave the picture of the arm to him. "Wow, Maddie this looks amazing. Now let's hope I can make the actual thing look as good as the drawing." He said and left to get started on making the new wiring. "Hey, Bucky did you like the look of the drawing?" I asked but got nothing in response. Yet I couldn't stop myself from feeling something towards him. So I just decided to leave him be and hope it gets better.

I went back to my room and started to draw. I wasn't thinking to much when drawing but somehow ended up drawing a picture of Bucky with only his eyes in colour, as they were my favourite part of him. Isn't it funny that I haven't even had a proper conversation with him yet I still feel something for him. I decided to let that thought slip out my mind and I walked out of my room into the kitchen. "Hello?" I heard as soon as I entered. "Hi." I said back when I came into view to see Bucky standing there in a ready position. "What are you doing up at this time?" He asked coldly. "Um...I didn't think it was late. I just wanted food," I said looking at the clock "it's 3:00am! Wait what are you doing up at this time?" I questioned as I got food from the fridge. I saw him tense up at the question but I also saw his eyes soften. "Nightmare." He whispered. "I get them. If you want you can talk about it. That doesn't help me but it might help you." I said quietly but he shook his head. "Maddie, is it?" He asked and I nodded my head, "I'm sorry I've been rude to you lately by not speaking but I'm not that good with new people." He told me and I said to him it was fine. And with that I finished my food and we sat in silence. I waited until he had left, so I knew he was ok, before I went to bed. But as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out like a light.
