Maddie's POV

"Maddie, please we need you and Bucky to go on this mission because Nat and Clint are already on one and everyone else is busy." Steve said following me, trying to get me to go on a partner mission with Bucky. "Steven, I've already told you: no. I don't want anything to do with him. Fury told me I didn't have to do any partner missions if I didn't want to. You can go with him. He's your best friend anyway." I said and turned around to see him staring at me with puppy dog eyes. "Please Maddie. I would if I could, but I can't. I have to train the new recruits." Steve said still with the puppy eyes. "Damn you Rogers. Fine I'll do. But only this one time." I said pushing my blue hair out of my face. "Thanks Maddie. You're the best." He yelled and hugged me. "I know I am." I said sarcastically.

I walked down the corridor to my room where I saw Bucky sat next to my door. "Well this looks familiar." I said sarcastically as I went to walk through my room. "Maddie, please I just need to talk. I need a partner-" Bucky started but I cut in. "Bucky Steve already talked to me. I'm being your partner but that doesn't mean I'm going to be your friend. This means I don't have to talk to you, unless it's about the mission." I told him and once again tried to walk through the door but I was tugged back and saw Bucky face-to-face with me. "Maddie please I know I hurt you but please I want to build a friendship with you." He said. "Well Bucky you're right. You took my heart and stomped on it and you can't fix it. So please piss off." I said, my accent coming through. And with that I walked through my door and slammed it in his face before he could say anything.

I walked to the helicarrier in my black, tight uniform and saw Bucky waiting for me. I walked straight past him and went to sit in my usual place I was about to put in my headphones when Bucky spoke up. "Maddie you'll have to speak to me on the mission if you don't want either of us to walk out of this mission alive." He said and wanted me to respond, but I just put on my headphones and nodded my head. I didn't want to speak to him anymore, unless it was for a mission or at least work related.
