All of them had a lot of fun and they were all really nice despite of what Cassandra might have thought. Though, she wasn't sure about Scott, after having asked several questions about her power, he shit down completely not saying another word. Instead he slumped back against the tree stem and just listened to the conversation.

"Hey kiddos" a quirky voice greeted from behind her. Cassandra turned around to see who the voice belonged to but instead was greeted with the sight of the empty garden. "Who's the new girl?" There was the voice again. "That's Cassandra." Jean said and Cassandra immediately turned back around by the mention of her name. Next to Jean was a boy with white hair, a silver jacket and goggles. He seemed young, but he definitely seemed older than Jean and the rest of the group.

"Wait... I know you, you're that girl that's always in Xavier's office or with his brother." The boy smirked, removing his goggles from his eyes. "I'm Peter by the way, nice to meetcha." He quickly added. Cassandra puckered her lips and raised a brow in confusion, whose brother? "Scott's brother lives here too, his name is Alex, Alex Summers." Jean said to her after hearing her thoughts. "Wait, what's going on between you and my brother?!" Scott asked seemingly confused.

"Well, Alex is kind of like my guidance counsellor, and the professor helps me with controlling my power." She explained to the group.

"Speaking of Xavier, what time is it? Me and Cassandra should probably go to class." Jubilee said reluctantly.

Cassandra always loved school but she had gotten bored of it rather quickly. Seeing as she had already done the homework for the next two weeks and the classes were too easy for her. She might not have looked it, but she was very smart.

At the end of the school day Jubilee was in Scott's dorm because he needed her advice, whenever he needed some emotional guidance he'd always end up talking to Jubilee.
Jubilee sat on his bed and watched Scott pace around the room.

"I mean, I think I like her?" He told Jubilee. "Why did that sound like a question." Jubilee asked cocking her head to the side. They were talking about Jean Grey, Scott has had a crush on her ever since he first saw her.

"I'm just not sure..." He said to her, running a hand through his gelled hair. "Not sure about what Scott?" Jubilee asked groaning in annoyance, he was being so vague, as always. He has never been good at expressing his emotions. "Guess I'm just not sure about how I feel anymore, I mean she just sees me as a friend, you know? She can read my mind so she would know that I like her but if she knew and she liked me too she would have done something." He rambled.

Cassandra had heard the whole conversation from her room, maybe she should help him. After all, she was trying to make some friends. After contemplating her options for a minute she decided to just help him.

She knocked on the doorframe of the half opened door. Both of their heads shot up and looked at me. "So, who's the lucky girl." Cassandra asked, leaning against the doorframe of the already opened door.  Scott seemed to be frozen in place, the heat in his cheeks building up. For some reason he felt embarrassed, almost.

"How'd you hear us?" Scott blurted out, his cheeks still flushed red. "Well, if you want to have a private conversation then I would suggest closing the door." Cassandra said and cocked her head to the side a bit. "Oh, and the walls are paper-thin, I can hear a lot of things." She told hem and smiled weakly. "What kind of things?" Scott asked innocently. "You don't wanna know, Scotty." Jubilee mumbled and bit on her nail. "You still haven't answered my question." Cassandra said to Scott, sitting sat down in a red arm chair.

"Jean.." He sighed softly, feeling somewhat reluctant, he never opened up to people so easily. It was not like he had just told her his whole life-story but, still, he had just told her something that was very personal to him. He hated wearing his heart on his sleeve. He was never the kind of person to just express his emotions freely and openly for all to see. He strongly believed that it made him look weak, and if Scott Summers hated something, it was being weak.

"Well, maybe you should just ask her out... I mean, she seems totally into you." Cassandra said with a smirk crawling on her face. Jubilee quietly snickered from her place on Scott's bed.

"Care to enlighten us about what's so funny?" Scott asked Jubilee annoyed. "Cass, you have to know something." She said. "Look Cass, Scott might seem like such a 'bad boy' with his worn out leather jacket and all, but that's just a façade, a mask, whenever he's around Jean he'l turns into total softie, I find it very entertaining. " Jubilee said and Scott groaned in response. Jubilee and Scott started quarrelling about him being a 'bad boy'. "Talking shit about me when I'm right here." He huffed loudly.

A knock on the door interrupted their conversation, the three looked up. It was Alex Summers, Cassandra just assumed that he was picking up his younger brother. "You guys mind if I borrow Cassandra for a lil' while?" Alex asked them, his knuckles still grazing the door as she stood up to come with him.

"I didn't know you became part of Scott's clique." He said to her once they were further down the hall, she didn't even know where they were going. "I'm not..." she told him. "I just met him, and I'm not too sure what to think about him, to be honest." She admitted looking into Alex' eyes as they walked. "He is not as bad as he might seem at first glance, just give him a chance." Alex told her. She didn't reply, instead she just looked straight ahead of her.
"Where are we going, anyways?" She asked Alex after a short while of silence. "We're on our way to Charles he wanted to check up on you." Alex said as we walked into the big hall which was where Xavier's room was.

Alex opened the door to the professor's room and she stepped inside, she sat down on one of the chairs while Alex leaned against one of the desks. "Cassandra, it's good to see you again, how are you doing?" The professor asked her as he wheeled himself behind his desk. Charles and her always had those little therapy sessions at least once a week and every week would be the same, him asking her how she's been and telling her to keep writing in the book. They had these sessions because the professor knew about her past and he knew it was rough for her, that's why he assigned Alex to be her guidance counsellor.

She had gotten bored of it quickly and just wanted to go back and talk to Scott and Jubilee. After thinking about it, she could use some friends but she didn't allow herself to socialize much after what happened at her old school. She couldn't help but compare Jubilee and her friends to her old friends from back home, her old friends who turned on her once they found out the secret she had been hiding for years.

"She's a mutant." Whispered a girl to a friend of hers. "Oh my god, ew." Said the other girl loudly.

"Mutant-scum!" Shouted a guy at Cassandra in the hallways.

"Mum said I'm not allowed to talk to people like you." Said the little girl that lived across the street.

"Freak." Said Cassandra's best friend to her when she found out.

Once her therapy session was over she walked out of the door and was almost immediately confronted by the blue teleporter.
"Hello Cassandra! Do you vant to come to the mall vith us? You have to try zhe slushies." Kurt smiled widely at her, showing off his sharp teeth.
