Garmau (Abandoned)

For a reason

Aphmau ran as fast as she could to Lucinda's home, Garroth was being treated in Phoenix drop so that he could be healed easier "LET ME IN" Aphmau screamed tears filling her eyes as she pounded her fist on the door, Lucinda opened it and grabbed Aph who fell onto the witch in grief  "I'm so sorry... I don't think he'll make it... He tore his wound bigger then it was... I almost couldn't treat him the first time... I can't do much but slow it down now..." Lucinda said, her voice full of regret obviously she had put herself down for not being able to heal him "No... L-let me see him" Aphmau sobbed, she thrashed slightly against Lucinda's grip "I can't... It will just upset yo-" she began to say, Aphmau shoved Lucinda away and ran upstairs "I'm sorry I have to.'' She said climbing the ladder that lead to Garroth's temporary room "No.." She sobbed running to the bed, Garroth lay there, unconscious and pale, he looked weak and his wound looked horrible even through the bandages, smashed potion bottles and crumpled up recipes lay on the floor around the desk in the corner, Garroth would sometimes stir saying vague things like "Aphmau" or "I love her" which made her feel guilty. She sat In the bed and curled up next to on the bed sobbing, she placed her hand on his chest praying to the Divines he would get better, nothing happened... "It's my fault... I... I could've done something... You didn't have to... You could have let her kill me... Twice I almost died and you have suffered... I'm sorry" She sobbed looking at Garroth's face, he was pale from the blood loss so he looked like a ghost, if ghosts could get stabbed and almost die for some little girl that can't protect herself. "Shh" somebody said putting their hand on her head and stroking it, Aph looked up to see Garroth had opened his eyes and was smiling weakly at her "You- you're awake!?" She gasped sitting up, she blushed and realized he probably heard everything she had said "Aphmau you must not blame yourself. I love you, I did that because you're my Lord and you have a family and another baby soon. I have nothing, all I have is you, the best thing I have is you. And if I die from saving your life then good. At least I will know that I died for a reason." He said wincing every now and again "... I love you too" Aphmau said, her eyes full of tears, she kissed Garroth's forehead gently, Garroth lifted his hand and placed it on the back of her neck kissing her slowly on the lips.
