Garmau (Abandoned)

Stopped

Time moves at different speeds, for Garroth the last fifteen minutes had gone by in a flash, for Laurence it would never end and for Aphmau, well for Aphmau it had escalated so quickly and then it just, stopped. It stopped the moment Laurence shut the door, the moment her injured friend lay on the floor clutching is jaw, it stopped the moment she realised what she had done. She had cause Garroth's death. She had caused Laurence's anger. She was the reason one of her best friends was in pain yet again. Aph stood up from Garroth's side and reached for a cloth and the glass of water on the side. She wet the cloth and knelt back down next to him lifting his chin and inspecting his lip, Laurance had hit him so hard he had bit his cheek and was bleeding quite a bit. She dabbed at the side of his lip and at his chin in silence, Garroth couldn't bare to look her in the eyes, he felt so ashamed... So immature. "I'm sorry" she said quietly, not looking away from her work "For what?" Garroth asked, taken aback by her apologizing for nothing "for this, for everything..." She said sadly, this made Garroth strangely angry, why was she apologizing!? He was the one that tested Laurence, he was the one that chose to jump in front of the sword, he chose to tackle Blair, not her! "Dont say that." He said putting his hand on her's, she blushed and continued cleaning his lip "You know what he can be like. And I do too, I shouldn't have challenged him." Aphmau smirked, "well that didn't help. But still he only hit you because I fell asleep in your room." She said looking up into his sky blue eyes, her burnt amber eyes glassy with guilt. Aphmau shut her eyes and looked back at his grazed lip, brushing it  carefully with her thumb as if she were tracing his features, memorizing them and holding onto them. Garroth raised his hand and placed it on hers, slowly leaning in closer, Aph was reluctant at first but slowly she willed herself to do it. Laurence had to let it go. She could be with who she wanted. Garroth stopped, their lips so close he could feel the heat of hers, "Are you sure?" He asked "Yes" she smiled kissing him gently.
