Aphmau had put her purple dress on, the one she wore when they went to the beach. She had her hair down one shoulder and a dagger equip around her leg just in case. Dante walked next to her in silence, the frosty gravel crunching underfoot. The silence was unbearable. There was no music, no happy villagers walking around. No birds singing their usual Morning song... Aph felt like the silence was crushing her, forcing her into a small box she couldn't escape from. Or maybe that was just the grief. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Dante asked quietly. Aph kept walking trying not to think about everything too much "yes" she whispered looking at her feet "It can be difficult... seeing... The body... Of someone you love... You only just lost Aaron... Are you sure you're that strong?" Dante asked, stopping and holding her hand to stop her "Dante please..." She sighed looking away. They kept walking for a few more minutes in silence until finally they arrived at Lucinda's home, a grey bird flew past Aphmau and Dante's faces making them fall back quickly. "FREAKING PIGEONS" Dante yelled helping Aph up shaking his fist at the bird "I recognize that bird from somewhere..." Aphmau thought standing up and watching the bird soar elegantly above the roof of Lucinda's house. Dante knocked on the door squeezing Aphmau's hand in support. Lucinda opened the door and flung herself of Aph in a hug, she had tears streaming down her face "I'm-so... Sorry-!" She sobbed into Aphmau's shoulder, Lucinda obviously blamed herself "I couldn't- do anything... I watched him... He asked for you... He called your name... I tried to help... I was I'm shock... I watched the colour drain from his face..." The poor witch cried. Aph tried to hide that she was crying, she hugged Lucinda tighter "Lucinda there was nothing you could've done... You did your best and he wouldn't want you beating yourself up about it..." Dante said putting his hand on Lucinda's back and smiling at her sadly. "Lucinda... Can- can I see him?" Aphmau asked, her voice shaky and her eyes full of steely grief. "Of course-! I'm so sorry Aphmau..." She replied sniffling and taking her friends hand. When they got to the door of Garroth's room Lucinda let go of Aphmau's hand and hugged her again, Dante looked at Aphmau and smiled in support.

"Ok... I can do this"
Aphmau pushed the door open slowly and stepped through, she looked up to see the lifeless figure of her best friend.

"I can't do this"
