Chapter 6: Hargeon

Natsu's POV

A week has passed since we started our journey to Hargeon and we have finally made it, but, I haven't spoken to Luce since yesterday morning. I just can't confront her right now, not yet. Slowly, I steered the ship into the Hargeon port as the rest of the crew got ready to dock. Levy, Gajeel and Lucy were readying the ropes to tie the ship to the dock whilst Grey, Erza, Elfman and a few others helped lower the sails as Mira was getting everybody ready to disembark. Everybody was helping out around the huge beauty of a ship apart from happy, who was too busy staring at the fish. Once the ship halted, I walked down the small fleet of stairs to the main deck where all the crew surrounded me waiting for their orders. "GOOD MORNING FELLOW CREW MEMBERS OF THE BELOVED FAIRYTAIL!" I yelled making sure everybody on the ship could hear,"AS YOU MAY KNOW WE HAVE FINALLY REACHED THE CITY OF HARGEON, AND BECAUSE IM SUCH A NICE CAPTAIN. YOU MAY HAVE THE DAY DOING WHAT YOU WISH, GO DO SOME LOOTING OR WHATEVER. HOWEVER, BE BACK HERE BEFORE SUNSET SO WE CAN SET SAIL. GRAY, HAPPY, ERZA I NEED TO TALK TO YOU NOW. EVERYBODY ELSE, HAVE A GREAT DAY AND SEE YOU LATER!"
"AYE!!" The rest of the crew beckoned as they rampaged off the ship leaving Happy, Erza and Happy behind as I led them into my office. As I did, I glanced back just seeing Lucy in her elegant white dress staring at me as she slowly walked off into the bustling town, Please look after yourself Luce, I thought as she looked away and as I entered the office letting the others in.

Erza and Gray sat down on one side of the desk with concern in their eyes and Happy sat on the table looking at a left over fish from the other day. "Why have you summoned for us captain?" Erza questioned as I stood over the desk with my arms keeping me supported as I looked down at the desk trying to think of the best way to word what I was about to tell them. "We no longer need to look for a mermaid." Erza's eyes widened at the new news. As Grey just propped his crossed legs upon the table with his arms supported his head as he leaned back in the old wooden chair.

"I have found what we have been looking for. However, I have a question to ask,"
"And what's that pinky," Gray mumbled as I turned around looking out of the glass windows at the back of the office.
"GRAY BEHAVE YOURSELF!" Erza raged as Gray suddenly fell from his chair from the sudden mood swing from the red head.
"You are all pathetic," I mentioned as I turned back around staring at the two hooligans."Do you remember?"
"What do you mean captain?"The raven headed idiot asked.
"You know what I mean idiot! You remember!!" I yelled as I smashed my hand into the desk causing a huge crack to appear in the old wood.
"You mean... About Lucy??" Erza asked as she looked at me with worried eyes.
"Yes. Mavis must have spoken to you about remembering her and how we had our memories taken from us so we didn't create a war, aye?"
"Captain, she did speak to us about this. But we believed that it was a load of crap. Are you saying she is telling us the truth??" The red head asked standing from her chair.
"Aye, it is true. But obviously you don't have your memories back yet... You are dismissed," I stated as I turned around again to look out of the window watching the peaceful seagulls glide against the glistening sea water as I tried to calm myself. "As you wish sir," Gray said as he walked out the door leaving just me, Erza and Happy.
"Captain... You do know she is a mermaid correct?" As she spoke Happy's jaw flew right open showing the contents of the old chewed up fish he had been eating throughout the conversation.
"Aye. So you have your memories then... But, when we first lost them I remember that the only thing that I wanted was a mermaid for my wish. But, I could never understand why but now I know. Erza, Happy you cant tell anybody of this conversation agreed??"
"Aye," They said in unison as they walked out of the office door leaving me by myself.

Lucy's POV

It's around noon and I've been going around Hargeon with Levy, Wendy and Guvia. We've became really close friends and until now the only thing we have ever spoken about is work, but now we can chill out and talk about what ever we wish. We were talking about how Mira had been on a double page of one of the most famous magazines in Fiore!! Sorcerer weekly!!! I've been told that only the best are featured, after our long conversation on the magazine and visiting an old restaurant for some food, we went to a corner shop to purchase the newest one. We moved the conversation onto magic, it was pretty interesting. Levy does solid script magic, Guvia has water magic and can control it whilst Wendy is a Sky Dragon Slayer. "That is so awesome guys why didn't you tell me before??" I questioned as they took me to a field close by so they could show me their skills. "Well we would have, but with working with the crew. You don't really get much time to talk much about magic, only about the work in hand," Levy explained as she showed me her solid script magic. It was amazing!! Juvia and Wendy then showed me theirs too. "You guys are amazing! And so strong!"
"We aren't strong compared to the boys, there on another level!! Gray-sama has Ice Devil Slayed magic(A/N Its something like that I can't remember, plz don't kill me😭)!!" Juvia sang as her eyes became heart shaped and went into some kind of fantasy world, probably with Gray. "Yea and Gajeel has Iron Dragon Slayer magic!!"Levy explained as we sat in the long grass of the quiet field, which was completely different to the bustling town only a few minutes away. The sun was just about to disappear into the clouds, and the stars were starting to shine through the darkening sky with the moon showing them the way. "That's cool guys, but what's the Captains magic??" I asked as I began to lay back in the grass looking up into the peacefully growing dark sky.
"I have Fire Dragon Slayer Magic," Stated a familiar voice with footsteps getting closer and closer towards us. We all quickly sat up from where we were laying and saw a pissed off Natsu storming towards us. "Your all late, you were meant to be back at the ship before the sun started to set, and the sun is now almost gone and we need to get going now," he said abruptly as he stood there staring as us with piercing eyes as we started to walk back to the ship.
When we finally reached the ship, everybody was ready to go, and within a couple of minutes we were off on the open ocean once again.

<Time skip to late at night>

Everybody was off to bed, it's been a great day. But long. I was left alone on the deck as the gentle breeze of the wind made my white delicate dress float as if it was a feather. Slowly I walked up the small fleet of stairs to get to top deck where the wheel was located. But as well as the wheel there where a few crates full of food that was brought from Hargeon hours before and hadn't been put away. So, tiredly I went to sit upon them looking up at the starry sky. As I did I held my zodiac keys, I can't tell them about you yet, I'm sorry, I thought to myself as I looked down at my golden keys admiring their beauty. "Oh hey," the pink haired captain said as he walked up the stairs to greet me."I was looking for you."
"Oh really?? Why??" I asked as he sat down beside me.
"Well, I need to tell you about my past. Because... hopefully if I tell you, you will remember everybody, everything. And remember us and what we had." He looked down into my eyes with so much sadness it tore me limb from limb.

"Ok, please tell me. I want to remember," He took my hand and held it, but he was shaking as if he was afraid. This cannot be good.

"Before you're farther found out what your mother and us were planning, me and you hatched an egg together. That's where Happy came from, it was a present from Igneel to the both of us, but on the day he hatched you made me a promise that when we were older you would give me a wish and that it could be anything, and as we were only young you might have been messing around. However, I took it seriously," He then looked at me as he exhaled deeply. "Okay, well hopefully when you get your memories back you will remember and I'll be able to get my wish, there is also something else that I need to tell you something that may haunt you. I know it has done to me ever since I have remembered." He then squeezed my hand tighter and looked away.

"To the point, we watched our parents die... You'r Farther somehow found me, you, Happy, my farther and Layla playing in the coves off the shore of Hargeon. There was a fight between Layla and Jude, whilst my farther was trying to find us somewhere safe to hide and once he did. Jude caught him off by surprise and killed him with his dark magic that he possesses, and as we tried to look back from behind our hiding place to try and see Layla, she was on the floor, blood everywhere and she wasn't breathing. The next thing I knew was darkness and I couldn't see anything... I never saw you, Layla or my Farther ever again." Tears started falling from his eyes as he then looked at me with so much pain. All I did was hug him, he was in so much pain and I can't even remember the pain we had gone through together. But, I can't get over what Jude had done, he is a monster. He is no farther of mine.

"Natsu... I'm so sorry, but I still don't remember and I'm so sorry for my farther's behavior towards yours,"I cried as the thought of my mother, so elegant and kind. Being gone for so long hurt so much.

"It's not your fault Luce," he muttered as he stroked my hair and he accepted my embrace. We sat there for what felt like forever, it must have been around midnight and he finally said,"there's something else I need to tell you."

"Is It something about our past?" I asked, not wanting to hear anything else about my mother's death.

"No this is something else. It's a change of subject because that topic is too depressing," He said as he pulled away from me drying his tears."A few years ago, we had a member of FairyTail named Lisanna. She was Mira's and Elfman's sister, she was such a sweet and innocent girl for a pirate. We were dating for a while, but there was something about her that was off. Whenever she wasn't working or wasn't with me she would disappear and nobody could figger it out. Until one day when we were in a small town near Magnolia, some crew members and I were collecting supplies. And I saw her talking with the Sabertooth Captain. We didn't think much off it until about a week later when we came across their ship." He stopped and took a breather from the story he was telling me and leaned back against the crates behind him looking into the midnight sky."The two ships started to battle out, however, Lisanna couldn't be found anywhere during the fight until she came up from below deck. But it wasn't our deck she came out of, it was Sabertooths and she wore their pirate guild mark. Please don't be scared of me when I say this but..." He then looked at me as he gave a reassuring grin, he then looked down at the floor below his feet."We killed her... Well... I killed her. She was a traitor, Erza requested to fight her and end her but, let's just say I wanted this to be in my own hands. So, that's what happens to traitors, I'm sure you won't be one. But, learn a lesson from this, don't be like Lisanna."
