Ch 10: "Transformation"

I woke, blood flowing hot through my body. I wasn't sure where I was, my vision was blurred and I found that my head ached in pain. I sat up quickly and pulled my hand to my eyes to shield the light. "K-keith..." I mumbled. Where did he go? What did Xander do to the team? My vision was still blurred and I still was feeling warm... maybe I had a fever. Who knows what happened since I last saw Keith.

"You up?" I heard a voice. I looked and narrowed my eyes hoping it will help my vision. I recognized the voice though.

"Xander... What, Who are you?" I asked him. He shrugged, my vision had started to clear. He was sitting across the room.

"Same ol' Xander. Just... with more compassion now. More of a will to be great for the Galra empire." He said calmly, even though the circumstances are strange. He was staring me down, and I felt nervous, he is not the person I thought him to be. I made a mistake in trusting him and it turned out terrible for the whole team. He stood up and came towards the bed I was sitting on. He stood there for a moment. "Well, would you like to see your friends?" He as if I knew what he was doing. I stood, unsure of what to do and followed the now ominous figure.

"Why did you betray us Xander..." I asked him. He took my hand. I calmly looked around for any signs of weakness in the guards that now patrolled the ship. Nothing.

"Well, I wouldn't have if you would have just accepted that I was the one for you Novaia. You drove me to this, you know?" He explained in a voice like no other. He had a way with speech. "Your love for Keith drove me mad..." No Duh. "So, I paiged your father a few days ago. I told him the coordinates of Earth in return for your hand in Marriage. It really want that terrib-"

"I WILL NEVER!" I shouted at him. He stopped in his tracks and pulled me into his arms. I struggled and pushed away from him but I wasn't worth any strength without what the Galra part of me gave me.

"You're cute when you try to push me away. You know you can't so why do you try?" He whispered. My eyes grew wide with fear. He wants to marry me...

"I. Hate. You." I stated. My vision went black and my heart beated fast. I couldn't see.

"You will not, respond to me that way." He said. My vision cleared once again and he let go of me. We walked down the hallway to the video room. The surveillance room. There on the cameras were the rooms that the paladins were in, all split up. I felt bad for them. Shiro stood in front of the door pounding on it ever so often. Pidge and Saige were both aimlessly staring at the wall. Lance was? Passed out on the floor... Alex sat in the corner of the room, her face buried within her knees. Hunk was sitting on his bed ever so often looking at the door. But Keith... where was Keith. I looked at Xander who obviously knew what was going through my mind. I threw my fists at him but they were petty attacks. He grabbed one of my hands and he let the other one hit him.

"You didn't think I would let you see that boyfriend of yours did you?" He said with a satisfied smirk on his face. "Time to go, let's see what your father is up to... Shall we?" He said taking my arm in his, tightening his grip whenever I tried to break free. He laughed at me, which made me feel more helpless...

We walked by one of the doors and there was pounding. Loud thumps coming from the door. "Alex!... Xander what did you do!!!" It was Shiro. He sounded more distressed than ever.

"Shiro!" I shouted and Xander grabbed me and covered my mouth. He gripped my arm and made me squeal.

"Shut up! You're going to get yourself in more trouble." He whispered through his teeth.

"Novaia! Is that you!!" I heard Shiro's response and I wanted to reply but Xander was digging his nails into my arm and made me quiet. He pulled me along the hallway towards the control room which now had several Galra soldiers within it now. They saluted Xander on his way into the room. He smiled and likely felt full of himself.
