Chapter XXIV

Professor Q's Pov-

I grunted lowly when the explosion made me fall onto my back, my eyes flickered into darkness before they fixed themselves.

"Quinnzel! You okay?" I heard Deven exclaim as I sat up and examined my energy levels. Seventy-four percent. I have just enough.

"Yes."

"You sure, because you're leg is sparking." The male werewolf spoke as he helped me up. I looked down at my leg to see that the mechanism was starting to short-circuit.

"Shit. I can't worry about that now, we need to find everyone and get out of here." I declared as I opened the doors to my lab and turned on my heat sensors.

"Yeah you're ri-" Deven trailed off as his eyes became hazy. After a long minute the Brunette's eyes became clear as he growled low in his throat.

"Camilo said that Alex went to confront the intruders. He believes their Gaea's people."

My optics widened at the werewolf's words.

"Damn it! Alright then, you go and get everyone out of here, I'll get Alex." I declared as I raced out of my laboratory not letting Deven object.

I made my heat sensors pick up on only Alex's body heat as I rushed down the corridors. As I took a sharp right, my short-circuiting leg locked into place making me slam against the wall.

I growled low as I forced my leg to move, my walk now turning into a limp. My sensors blinked telling me the female Lycan was ten feet away.

"Alex." I spoke as I walked over a crumbled column, that held up the roof. My ice blue eyes widened when I saw a blonde, holding a limp Alex over her shoulder.

"You're the andriod, aren't you?" A brunette spoke as moved from behind the blonde.

"Gaea would like her, she is in need of a new toy anyways." The blonde spoke as she readjusted Alex. I tightened my jaw as I glared at the two females.

"Let Alex go." I demanded as I took a step forward, my eyes watched as the brunette's hand went behind her back and pulled out a quicksilver coated dagger.

"That cannot happen." The brunette declared as she got into a fighting stance. I rolled my eyes at the brunette and made electric currents spark through my hands.

"I don't like blood on my hands. So just give me back Alex." I told the two Uragirimono and tightened my jaw even tighter when the brunette charged.

Skylar's Pov-

I snarled in anger as I was pushed down by a another cloaked figure, only for Kai to grab the cloaked male with it's large metal hand and fling him across the room.

"You are okay?" The robot asked as it's hand stretched outward towards me. I gratefully grabbed the cold hand and let Kai pull me up.

"Come on, Kai. We need to find what caused the explosion. " I told the robot as I grew out my claws and sniffed the air. Confusion filled my mind when Alex's lavender scent, filled my nose.

'Skylar. Our mate is in danger!' Hydra roared in my mind. My wolf's words triggered me into a sprint, my body going to where Alex's scent was strongest. Kai's heavy foot falls shaking the ground as the robot followed behind me.

My feet skidded to a stop to where my mate's scent lingered strongly only to see a gigantic hole in the far end wall and what looked like a trail of black blood leading towards the hole.

"Kai, look out the hole." I commanded the Samurai robot, and tugged my hair in anger as I realized that my mate's been taken once again.

Only this time, I'm not with her.
