It's BAAAACCCKKKK~~~~! Left to Fall is going through a major rewrite, and hopefully I will be able to finish it this time! It's been, what, four years? Five? To be honest, I had not been planning on posting this again any time soon, but I had the sudden urge to edit the heck out of this and make it something (hopefully) memorable. Off we go!! Picture is of Kyosuke, aka main character.

"Alright, sweetie, Mommy's just going to hook this up to you, okay?"

I shook my head, tears spilling down my cheeks. Why were they doing this? Daddy had his hands on my arms, holding me down on the table, and Mommy was dog something weird with a machine, hooking needles into my skin and then splashing drops of blood on my chest. They stuffed a cloth in my mouth, saying it was to keep me from biting my tongue. The nice man with gold eyes was on the table next to me, struggling against the straps holding him down and shouting behind the cloth in his mouth.

"Shut your trap!" Daddy snapped at the man, who simply glared at him. Mommy strapped me down, and I let out a panicked cry. What were they doing? I don't want to do this anymore! I want to leave!

"Just relax, Kyosuke, it'll all be over in a minute." Daddy said as they stepped back, that scary grin back on his face. I whimpered, scared. The man next to me kept struggling, and then I felt a really bad pain, screaming behind the cloth in my mouth. Everything flashed bright white, and the man beside me screamed too.

Everything hurts. It hurts it hurts it hurts...!

The bright light disappeared and I shook with sobs, my body, head and eye hurting. The nice man with gold eyes next to me wasn't moving anymore. Why wasn't he moving? Why did Mommy and Daddy do this? Why do they keep hurting me?

Mommy screamed out happily, Daddy laughed. Did they know the man beside me wasn't moving? Did they know I hurt all over?

Everything hurts. I'm scared. The man next to me's eyes weren't shiny anymore. He wasn't moving. Why isn't he moving?

I awoke with a sob catching in my throat, ceiling blurry as tears spilled over. "Malik...." I croaked, a shaky hand reaching up to touch right underneath my left eye, wet with tears. No one responded to me, because no one else was here in my apartment.  I sat up slowly, early morning light streaming through the curtains and flooding my room in a peculiar shade of purple. I sniffled, shivering slightly from the remnants of the nightmare, and scrubbed at my eyes, although I was probably just irritating them further. I took a few deep breaths, reaching out for Malik again. "Malik...? Malik, are you awake?" I asked quietly, afraid to speak any louder. I heard a soft groan in the back of my mind, could almost picture the male with white hair and gold eyes rolling over on the black ground of his space in my body as he sat up, hair mussed up.

Kyo....? What's wrong? Why are you up so early?

I let out the breath I had been holding, a soft laugh escaping me. "No. No, it's nothing. Sorry. Go back to sleep."

No, no. I'm awake now. What happened? Why are you crying?

"It's nothing, Malik. Forget it. I'm- I'm going to go take a shower."

Kyo..... Malik's voice warned, but I ignored him and got up, walking to my bathroom.

My name is Kyosuke. Kyosuke Atsukasa. I'm the only survivor of my clan's massacre 11 years ago when I was six. If you're wondering how they died, well... I was the one to kill them. Sort of. It's... Complicated. It was technically another person who killed them, but they used my body to do it. How did they managed that? Well, that's where the complicated part comes in. Let's just say it was all karma, in some way shape and form.
