"Alright you baby-faced degenerates! Pipe down and listen up!"
I gasped softly when I saw the instructor for the first part of the exam, a smile spreading across my face as I noticed the others behind him as well. "Oh, it's Ibiki." I hummed softly to the Tai and Kasumi. They looked at me, then back at the chuunin behind Ibiki, questions in their eyes. I was about to explain when Ibiki spoke up, his voice carrying over the general and tense hush of the crowd.
"I'm Ibiki Morino, proctor for the first test of the Chunin exam." The genin in front of him stared, growing nervous. "First off," Ibiki pointed towards my friends, who now had Hidden Sound Ninja standing in front of them. I frowned, slightly sighing when I looked at them and shaking my head. "You, from the Hidden Sound Village! Knock it off! Who told you you could fight?!"
"...Naruto provokes people a lot, doesn't he?" Kasumi asked, and Tai laughed weakly.
"Actually I'm more concerned that we didn't notice the sound guys attack them." He commented, smiling a crooked smile as Ibiki continued to explain the rules and low-key intimidate the candidates.
When everyone was seated I looked around to see if I could find Kasumi and Tai, keeping track of their locations. I was curious to know how we were going to do this, since we haven't been around each other for ten years, and it made me excited.
"Everyone, eyes up front." Ibiki said calmly, tapping the board with his piece of chalk. "There are several important rules for this test. I won't answer questions, either, so listen well!" I listened as he explained the rules, twirling the pencil in my hand as I watched Kasumi absentmindedly braid some strands of her hair while she listened, nodding occasionally. Tai was behind me, so I couldn't see what he was doing.
Ibiki was a good proctor choice. He's got the entire group listening.
'We sure it's not because they really want to pass?'
Meh, dude's intimidating..... Oh. Oh no.
'What?'
Look over at Naruto.
I did as instructed, and nearly blanched when I saw how freaked out Naruto was. This was not going to end well. I sighed silently, shaking my head a little. 'If they don't make it, I'm going to punch Naruto myself.'
Just focus on blending in with the others right now. Malik sighed, and I nodded, easily filling out my test so that other could copy off it. After a few minutes I stretched and moved my hands under the desk, forming hand signs to create a trickle of water. I split it in half and sent it sneaking along the floor to Tai and Kasumi, letting it climb onto the desks so that they could see the answers I'd form.
Tai tapped his pencil against the desk by the water, allowing me to feel the vibrations and change to the next answer for him. Kasumi used her hair as a signal, playing around with it when she needed me to change it while tapping her pencil occasionally. I smiled, glad we still remembered our little "morse code" we had created so many years ago.
I stopped manipulating water when I saw Kotetsu stand and throw a kunai knife at a boy's test, startling him and the others around him. Naruto had gone rigid, and Kotetsu smirk at the boy now standing. I sighed softly, clicking my tongue. 'First one out. They'll start dropping like flies soon.' I commented idly to Malik, doing the same to the water my Kasumi and Tai. They tapped their pencils in agreement. Right away, the sentinels started disqualifying people left and right, a few of them arguing with them.
A few minutes after finding the last answer and filling out my own, I leaned back in my seat, conversing through the water with Kasumi and Tai as we waited for time to be up. I split the small amount of water each of them had even further, so all three of us could converse instead of it just being the two of them with only me.
