Okay, weird stuff was happening when it came to publishing last chapter and for a few days only a small portion of the chapter had been shown, apparently. This is just letting you know that the Land of Waves arc was finished last chapter, so please go back and read that if you need to.

When we got back from the Land of Waves, I told Sasuke a little about what happened with my parents, and made up a story about how I was technically chunin and how Kakashi and I were friends, because now I kind of wanted him to find out that I'm a Jonin with the others out of pure fun. Also because Naruto is already crazy mad at Sasuke, and I really don't think it would end well if he found out I told Sasuke ahead of him.

Today we were doing regular D-ranked missions again, Naruto trying go outdo Sasuke at everything. Frankly, I was done with his behavior. He was acting too childish, and blaming it all on Sasuke. I was sick of it.

We had just finished walking dogs when everything nearly exploded.

"You really are just one big problem." Sasuke said smugly, smirking as he helped support Naruto after he nearly killed himself by being dragged into a minefield by the dog he chose. Naruto growled, moving away from his hold and moving forward like he was going to tackle him.

Sakura held out an arm in front of Naruto, effectively stopping him, although she was just as angry. She held her other hand in the air, forming a fist and glaring at Naruto. "If you keep this up, I'll finish you myself!"

I ran forward, following Sasuke. "Hey, don't you think that was a bit harsh?" I asked, walking beside him. He shrugged lightly, causing me to sigh. "You are so difficult, I swear." I muttered.

"That's right! Our teamwork's all messed up, and it's all because of you, Sasuke!" Naruto snapped, and I slapped a hand to my forehead.

Wow, this kid is dense.

'His ego is the size of this village, I swear.'

"You think you're better than everyone else?"

"No everyone. Just you." Sasuke stated, not looking back as he continued to walk away. I winced, knowing Naruto was about to get even madder. "Face it, I'm better and stronger than you are. It's a fact." I stopped walking when Sasuke stopped, stepping back when he turned to face Naruto. "Unless you have what it takes to prove me wrong."

Aaaaaannnnnnd here's the inevitable stare off! Malik sighed, just as done with these two as I was. I sighed and hid my face into my hands, muttering, "Oh god, the chunin exams can't come fast enough."

I looked up when I heard a bird screech, seeing the Hokage's messenger bird above us, and immediately felt relief. If that meant what I thought it did, then the chunin exams were right around the corner.

"Alright guys," Kakashi sighed, looking at the group. "Let's call it a day. You can beat each other to a pulp some other time. Anyway. I have to file my report in this mission."

"Whatever, I'm out of here." Sasuke said in a bored tone before walking away, and after waving goodbye to the others, I followed him, latching onto his arm for a moment and smiling at him. He smiled back, chuckling faintly.

"Wait, Sasuke, Kyosuke, I'll go with you!" Sakura shouted, running to catch up with us. We stopped turning to face her. I let go of his arm, watching as Sakura became a blushing and stuttering mess. I bit my lip and looked away, holding back a giggle. Poor girl had it hard.

"I swear, you're just as bad as Naruto." Sasuke said, and I giggled, covering my mouth with my hand before I got a hold of myself.

I placed my hand on his shoulder after he berated her again, calling her worse that Naruto. "Come now, Sasuke, she just hasn't shown her potential yet. You remember how she beat you and Naruto up the tree, and how physically strong she is, right?"
