10| part 2-Kendra

Kendra's POV

  I gulped down the wine and waited for an all out brawl to happen between them. This was not a good idea at all. Really, you're just now realizing that Kendra?!

  I bit my lip as I heard Eric clear his throat from beside me. Before he could let out a very loud string of curse words, Elena stepped in front of him and places her hands on his shoulders, "Eric, let's not go crazy. Please don't act this way especially in front of your girlfriend!" She whispered yelled the last part as if I wouldn't hear her, but I did very clearly.

  I saw Eric start to walk past his little sister to Ashton before she grabbed his hand and gave him the saddest puppy dog eyes ever. I would have fell for it myself.

  "For me." She pleaded and that was it. It was like a switch on his anger because he took a deep breath and nodded at her. She gave him a small smile in return. Wow, I wish I could tame him like that. It's harder than it looks.

  I sighed as he started to storm out the door angry. I was tempted to roll my eyes at his stoborness that I have come to know these past 12 hours but when I looked over at Elena she moved her eyes towards his retreating figure almost to the door. I raised my eyebrows in questions and she pointed towards him.

  "Stop him. Do something because he must listen to you if your the longest girlfriend he has ever had since he was maybe 13." She whispered yelled at me.

  I quickly nodded and sped walked over to him grabbing his arm. He turned around quickly so quickly that he got me a little dizzy.

  "What?!" He snapped furiously.

  I blinked a couple times, "Well, sweetie I think that you should settle down a little. You don't want to act like this in front of your family."

  He glared at me a little and ripped his arm away from my grasp. He started to walk out the door. I sighed and walked out the door, following him out the dining room.

  "Eric!" I quietly yelled and he quickly turned around scolding me.

  "Just listen for a second." I said before he could snap at me. He sighed and surprised me when he stayed quiet, "Look, I came here because your family thinks I am your girlfriend so if I have to act like it for tonight than I will." I stated and waited for him to come back with quick angry response but surprising me agian, he stayed silent looking at me intently.

  "So, Just listen. I know that you love your sister, Elena. I can see it very clearly and I can also see that you love your family. Do you really want to be angry right now because she simply brought your assistant who technology isn't your assistant because he is here on his own free time as her date? It's just a date and it's with the family! Just breath and be back in there soon because I have a reputation to live up to with being a good girlfriend." I finally finished with a big breath at the end.

  We stayed silent for what felt like forever before I finally gave up and turned around walk-in back into the dining room. As I walked inside everyone got quiet and looked at me excepting a good report. I honestly didn't have an answer though.

   This is Eric Kinsley we're talking about here. I was just about to tell them that I don't think he'd back in here for a while, not until Ashton was out of sight but I was surprised to feel a sudden warmth on my waist.

  I trailed the hand to the arm, up to the shoulder, and then to the one and only Eric Kinsley's face. I couldn't hold back a little relief smile.

  Eric gave his family a small smile before looking down at me. I raised my eyebrows and mouthed "You ok?'

  He simply nodded before he pushed me forward towards the table where two empty seats were ready to be sat in by us. I sat down next to Danial who looks like didn't bring a date as Eric sat next to his mother. Elena and Ashton sat across from us which was not a good thing considering they can  send glares and smirks each others way. In my mind I am just picturing a shouting match across the dinner taking place anytime tonight. God, I hope not.

  For the first time tonight I saw what was on my plate. My mouth immediately watered at the sight of it. It looked delicious.  I started digging in probably eating way more faster than the rest of the people at the table, but I was hungry so I didn't really care that much.

  "So, Kendra how long have you and my son been officially dating?" Laura asked me smiling at me before she took a small bite of her food. Yeah, I defiantly was eating faster then them but they didn't seem to notice so that's good.

  "Almost 3 months now. Right, babe?" I asked Eric who was glaring at Ashton like I thought he would flashing him a big fake smile. I was hoping it looked and sounded believable.

  He cleared his throat and looked at me a little confused obviously not listening to me and his mother. He recovered and gave me a smile in return," Yes, sweetie." He responded grabbing my hand that was on top of the table making his actions visible to his family who all had loving and happy smiles on their faces. Well, Ashton was too busy smiling at Elena like he was admiring her grin she sent me and Eric's way earning a glare from Eric himself.  Not surprising there.

   What really caught me off was Daniel rolling his eyes at us secretly, but I still caught it. He doesn't know, does he? I'll have to ask Eric later.

  As I stared at him questionably I didn't realize that the room got silent right before Eric stood up quickly sending a murderous look Ashton's way across the table, "Don't fucking touch her!" He shouted. Then, I noticed Ashton and Elena slowly pull their hands away. He must have grabbed her hand. I could tell Ashton a little bit of a crush on Elena Kinsley. Why did Eric have to be such an ass?

  Ashton let out an agitated breath before standing up as well glaring back at him, but before he could say anything, William's loud, stern voice came out well loud and stern, "Now that's enough you two. All three of you are going to have a discussion with your mother and I about this in the living room. Now!" He said pointing to Eric, Elena, and Ashton.

  At his tone they quickly all followed him into the living room willingly. I looked to my right to see Daniel chuckle a little before getting up and walking to the mini bar pouring a shot. He chugged it down before looking over at me, "Got to love my family, right?"

  I chuckled a little and got up joining him when he slid a shot glass full with alcohol my way. I was curious about what he exactly knows or what he didn't know.

  He turned to look at me with a serious face after chugging down his second shot, "Let's get real here, Kendra. I know what you and my brother are doing."

  Well, he sure got to the point.

I hoped you liked this chapter and I am soooooo sorry that I didn't update in a while but chapter 11 should be posted tomorrow or Thursday. Then, I should be back on schedule with once a week on Friday :)
