Sorry for any mistakes :(
Eric's POVI always liked the sound of the sink running as I helped my mom do the dishes. Elena was too young to know how to do them right so, she would sit on the counter and watch as mom washed, Daniel would dry and I would put them away.
Now, it wasn't so peaceful and pleasant since I was being hounded with questions with answers I didn't have. Elena sat on the stool, as mom washed, denial dried them and I put them away. It was a family dinner night and this time no one brought dates. I didn't get the memo that I have to bring Kendra or that means we broke up. There is about a million scenarios flying out of my sisters mouth of how we ended up breaking up.
I sigh, "Again Elena, we are not broken up."
"Again Eric, than why didn't you bring her?"
"I don't know, why didn't you bring Ashton?"
She rolled her eyes, "You know why."
I groaned, "Maybe she is busy. She doesn't have to come to every family dinner to prove we are still a happy fucking couple!"
"I sense some frustration. Honey, you know you can talk to us." My mom said and rested her now dry hand on my shoulder as Daniel silently chuckled at my torture.
I groaned and closed the drawer where the towels were. I smiled over at the maid who walked into the kitchen to see how were doing. She was obviously new and was used to the stuck up, rich, and lazy people who literally made them do everything.
"Yeah, we always clean the dishes together. Well, at least every family dinner." I say and glance at my mom and dad's guilty expressions, letting me know that they don't clean them on other days.
I sighed and chuckled under my breath, "You are getting lazy mom."
She gasped and hit my back with the small cloth she dried her hands with. I chuckled and kissed her cheek, "I got to go. I have a very important meeting tomorrow." I said and patted her shoulder. She didn't have to know the meeting is with Kendra.
She gave me a soft smile and hugged me back, "Treat that girl right, Eric."
I sighed, "I know."
Elena gave me a kiss on the cheek and I hugged Daniel, "Goodnight guys. Tell dad I love him!" I shouted as I walked out the front door and over to my parked car.
The car horns blared as the light turned green and everyone took there grand old time to go. Once I got to my pent house the almost full moon peaked out from behind the tall building.
I walked over to the elevator and walked in with three other people. I never liked crowed places. That is why I don't like being in the elevator with others. That is also why I use my own elevator at the Kinsley Products building.
The elevator dinged and I walked out and then into my pent house. The lights were all turned off. That's a good sign that Silvia didn't decide to surprise me again.
I sighed as I pulled the light blue tie off and then the jacket. The dress shirt and the pants were next. Once I had my grey sweat pants and white tank top on, I lied in my king sized bed.
My phone buzzed and I leaned over to grab it off my night stand. I almost didn't want to look at the message. It most likely is about business or my family and their sly hints on how I should bring Kendra over for dinner again and I really didn't want to deal with either one right now.
I sighed and looked down at the new message from my new security guard I hired to pay Kendra a little visit.
I couldn't help but smirk at the response he told me she said.
I replied that he can get his money tomorrow from the front desk. It had already been two days and I was getting a little annoyed and paranoid since my family wouldn't shut up about her and I had an event coming up that I requested two seats for. I needed to persuade her and I needed to do it soon.
It is a perfect time tomorrow since her and Celeste were starting tomorrow. I asked Hannah to show them around.
Hannah was only a brief assistant of mine, but wasn't for long. Man that Rebecca was a real delight. She was another brief assistant of mine after Hannah.
With the thoughts of how I have to make Kendra to say yes and sign the contract tomorrow, I fall asleep only to get up for work a little bit later.
That was one of the reasons I love being the CEO of my own company cause I can come in at anytime. I know I couldn't today though cause by the clock, Kendra's lunch break is in an hour.
I quickly call my driver and get dressed in the suit I sat out last night. I touched up my hair and took one look in the mirror. Handsome as ever I said to myself and smirked.
I walked to the buildings front doors and walked in when I got there only twenty minutes from Kendra's lunch break.
I waved to Veronica and nodded my head at all my employee who tried to put on a good front to impress me. Too bad for them because I was focused on this contract and Kendra signing it.
I went up to my floor in the elevator I have been informed that Kendra used this elevator because she was a little too impatient.
I smiled to myself and walked into my office only glaring a little bit at the back of Ashton's head as he talked on the phone.
I walked into my office and got to work. It only took me a few minutes to move the meeting to later so I could have my own meeting with Kendra.
Then, I grabbed my phone and clicked Kendra Peterson. The phone started to ring.
I hope you liked this chapter and I am soooo sorry that I haven't updated in a month. I didn't have my phone so I tried my best but I am trying my best to update now :)
