~ Chapter #20 : A Dizzying Scent ~
It wasn't long before Eddie effectively led Aleks to his home, that the brunette had only distinguished from the back seat of Seamus' car, from the curb outside the sizable abode.
The Latino had smiled diminutively at the house his sluggish gaze now rested on, and slowed his pace down greatly to appease his aching limbs and show silently that they were at his house, finally, after eight or so minutes of unvaried fleeing. Upon witnessing the new dawdling pace of his friend's out of the corner of his eye, Aleks blinked, and gradually left the dizzying world that loomed over him because of his ill, distant, and defiant thoughts, prior to losing his speed as well to fall back into tempo with Eddie. He'd been away from the world as they were running, escaping rather, from his own home. His mind had been else where as it was indulged by itself and by pestering questions, and his eyes were just intently focused on the scrolling beige beneath his feet, as the two teens stepped up the driveway of the substantial house.
Click, click. Click. The suitcases they brought with would make small noises each time their wheels ran over a break in the pavement they traveled along; each one of their steps also having a pit-pat resonance as they neared the front door of Eddie's home.
Aleks couldn't help but experience a vague, empty feeling establish itself in his body, but, he also couldn't compress and deny the emotion of an outlying fondness for someone particular that was gradually emphasising itself more and more each time he noticed when his heart thumped a little harder, or a little faster, in his chest. That certain someone. They're complicated, these feelings.
Once the couple of completely different teens had arrived at last at Eddie's front door, it was then that the Russian within the pair realized that he hadn't taken the time to slip a beanie onto his cranium, nor did he hide his tail, before he and Eddie evacuated that hell-hole behind them now - that was also as good as damned in Aleks' eyes.
Oh, yeah… He was over denial. Now, he was believing in 'no regrets' as a title he thought was a goodlifestyle, at the current moment. He practically had no where else to turn, other down the street of truth, so he was dipping rather desperately into the seven stages of grief. They were just- going to be scrambled and reversed a little bit.
At the sudden insight of his current appearance, Aleks bit his tongue harshly subsequent to letting a small shrill fall from his lips, and quickly proceeded to hurriedly raid the suitcase within his grasp to find something to conceal his secrets that he was just letting anyone passing by on the streets acknowledge. This wasn't the correct time to be careless, even though he was letting reality and his organization absentmindedly slip through his fingers, from his once firm grasp, and trickle away into the very breezes that swept towards him and blew his chocolate brown hair to the side a tad.
