Once I got downstairs, my friends greeted me and their parents hugged me. Once we finished with the greeting, the three of us were taken to the minibus, where Amber was already seated in. Our parents followed in my mom's TOYOTA silver Sequoia.
On the way to the airport, the three of us couldn't shut up about the trip.
"So what movies did you guys bring?" Amelia asked.
"We were supposed to bring movies?" I asked, kind of freaked out. "I knew I was forgetting something!"
"Chillax, it was just an idea. Although, I brought the Sex And The City series DVD's." Amelia said.
"Cool, I brought the two Sex And The City movies, and I also brought my all-time favorite, Titanic!" Danielle said excitedly.
"Just can't get enough of that movie, can you?" I asked, shaking my head but smiling at the same time.
"It's the best! I just wish I can finally meet my Jack!" Danielle said with a dramatic voice.
"You'll someday meet him, of course." Amelia said.
We were now a couple of miles away from the airport, and everytime we were closer, my heart rate just went faster. Suddenly, we were entering the airport area and the time of departure was getting closer.
The driver parked the minibus on the entrance of departure of our airline, and us four got out of the minibus. We helped the driver get down our bags, just as our parents reached the entrance after parking my mom's car.
The nine of us finally went inside the airport, after a long-awaited rush. Our parents took us to check-in at the airline desk, and helped us use the little machine to check-in to our flight. We gave the bags to the airline people, and suddenly it was time to say goodbye to our parents.
They came with us to the line of customs, and just before going inside the line, We turned to them.
"Well, I guess it's time to go." I said. My mom suddenly grabbed me and hugged me the tighest so far. I hugged her back really tight too. Then, she pulled back and looked at me with her eyes filled with tears, and said,
"I need you to promise me that you will do whatever Amber says to do, be a good girl, don't make trouble, call me everyday and night and report yourself, and to call me the moment you sit down in that airplane chair and the moment you land on Bahamas." She said, with her voice trembling a little.
"I promise." I said, I was starting to get tears in my eyes. Then, my mom grabbed me and hugged me tight, and kissed my head from the side and said, "I love you so much, Natasha."
"I love you too, Mom." I said. Then, she hugged me once more, and kissed my cheek, before letting go.
Then, she grabbed Amber and told her, "promise me you will take care of my baby and her friends. They are kids, take care of them like they are your own."
"I promise auntie, don't worry. They'll be okay with me." She said. My mom believed her, she knew that Amber was crazy and wild and fun, but she also knew whenever it came to me, she acted like she was my big sister. She hugged my mom, and then walked over to the line for customs.
My friends also said goodbye to their parents, and we found each other in the line just before going inside. As I was putting my stuff in the conveyor belt of customs, I turned to see my mom watching me sadly, I waved at her once more with a smile showing her that I was going to be okay, and not to worry, she waved back at me just before I went through the metal detector, and picked up my stuff and was now on the other side of the airport.
After we put our shoes on and grabbed our stuff, we walked through the main terminal, over to concourse B, where our gate's area was. We saw a few Starbuck's and Hudson News, but not a lot of restaurants here looked...appetizing.
