11:31 P.M.

Our plane arrived, only a minute late. It smoothly landed on the airport's runway, and made its way towards the gate door. I watched as my friends slowly woke up. They were lucky enough to have been able to sleep during the flight. I, on the contrary, hadn't been able to close a single eye while the plane was in the air. My mind was too clogged to be able to let me rest peacefully.

I pulled out my phone, and turned it on. I removed the airplane mode I had it set up, eleven hours ago. Once it turned on and received the cellular data, I noticed that I had a reply text from Jason, and a missed call from my mom.

As the airplane doors opened, I called my mom. We stood up from the uncomfortable airplane seats, and waited until we were able to leave the aircraft.

"Hey mom." I said.

"Honey! How was the flight?" She said.

"It was fine, luckily it didn't move so much. How are you?"

"I'm great, honey. Are you coming out?"

"Well, I'm still waiting inside the plane to be able to move into the airport, but in a way, yeah; I'm slowly coming out."

"That's good to hear, at least you're in Seattle."

"Ha, I know." I said, a little more cheerful than what I felt.

"Well, honey, please call me once you're near the entrance, okay?"

"I promise! Bye, mom." I said.

I hung up just when I was able to leave the clustered airplane. Then, I called Jason as my friends and Amber were walking behind me. I looked through my contacts for his name, and then called his number.

While he was not answering, I noticed a strangely large amount of people in the airport. I heard from a man in front of me in the airplane, that apparently a plane connecting flights from L.A. to Vancouver. And there was a convention in Vancouver for a very important business brand.

Suddenly, and finally, Jason picked up the phone.

"Nash! Oh my god! Hey! How are you?" He sounded a little worried.

I giggled. "I'm fine, Jason, it's okay. I miss you though."

"I miss you too, baby. How was the flight?"

"It was good, it was quite peaceful, actually." I answered, as we made our way through the masses of people in line to go down the stairs for customs. Apparently, the escalators were dead, so we had to go down the stairs in the old fashioned way. That's probably why it was so crowded. "What about you? How's Paradise?"

"Pretty cool, but not the same without you."

"Sweet. But don't worry, we'll meet soon, right?"

"Without a doubt." He said. "You know, I just spoke to my dad..."

We started making our way through the mass of people, and reached the top of the stairs.

Suddenly, I saw something that I wished, with all my heart and soul, that I'd never have to see.

It was the man who said he loved me, my sister, and my brother, and my mother, more than life. We used to be family.

Only his presence made my blood go cold. I was immobile.

I couldn't think.

Couldn't move.

"Nash? Are you there?" Jason said on the line.

Suddenly, the man moved to the side and revealed the woman who, according to my mom, has been with ever since I was ten. The woman was carrying something in her arms.

Something that looked very much like a kid. A baby.

My dad's eyes moved around the mob, and they connected with mine. He saw me.

He noticed me.

I felt my lip tremble and my eyes become watery.

"Natasha? Please answer me!" Jason said worriedly on the phone.

But in this very moment, I couldn't speak.

If I spoke, I'd probably scream.

If I scream, he'd probably come over and say hello. One of his fake hellos, that's for sure.

"Move it!" Said a man behind me.

Suddenly, there was a slight move in the tight line behind me, and made me fall over the stairs, and I remember a huge pain in my head. One that made me lose complete concsience of what was going on around me.

And that's where everything went black.
