Getting off the bus and smelling the fresh air, made me feel some type of way. I missed it but all that time I was away I didn't really care. I walked to my front door, sure that Ny'Ome wasn't there. I unlocked it, everything was as if she never left except from Nina's empty room.
"Wow" I whispered, I lowkey was glad to be free of all that responsibly, but I love Nina and I made a promise to always be there for her. She was my little twin and my while world.
My thoughts were cut off by my phone ringing.

"Teo can you get Julian dressed for me at five"
"Where he going"
"To a party but Ayo is going to pick him up and take him so don't worry about it"
"Oh okay I'll be there"
"Put him in his little prince outfit it's a costume party" she said hanging up before I could say something

"Julian would you just put on this stupid jacket" I beg

"What does she have to do with anything" I asked curiously
"Last night, she i asked her if she missed you and she said no so there" he said , I started to say something about him but the doorbell rang
I opened the door and it reviled a women that favored Ny'Ome, but couldn't be her because of her womanly curves. Her attention was to the stairs, which Julian was walking down in his little jacket he would put on. He smiled at the look of her.
"Me Me" he yelled jumping on her kissing her cheek
"Hey baby you ready" she said grabbing the door and shutting it in my face.

Nina looked so cute in her little polo sweater, white polo sweatpants, red converse and her hair in two knots and the back down. She was growing up by the second and I was growing more and more proud of her.

Enough of that mushie shit alot of kids were at her party turning up, even some kids i didn't even know. Angel brought her this big ass apple iPad cause I told her to take back that heavy ass crown he got her. She was always clinging to him, they had a special bond. It had me thinking bout Mateo, he was probably wondering where everyone was that or he is sleeping.
I decided to call him because I knew he wouldn't want to miss her birthday. Even though she prolly forgot about him, he loved her. He ended up answering on the first ring.
"Hello" he said kinda tired
"Hey Mateo this Ny'Ome, I was wondering if you wanted to stop by for Nini's party we were just about to sing happy birthday"
"Ninis one already"
"Yup, she a big girl you coming"
"Of course, let me put on a coat it's cold as shit outside"

"Ny'Ome" my older half-brother said seductively "come out, where ever you are" he said lifting up the table cloth
I watched him look for me in the kitchen from the pantry. All the houses in Japanwere all small, ours was the smallest on the block. They wasn't many places to hide but I tried cause I couldn't get caught till 7, when my mom got off work.
"Ny'Ome is me your brother" he said switching up to his nice guy voice,
Melvin had multiple personalities, is what I over heard my mom say. He had regular nice Melvin, Daniel the clown and Ricky the killer.
He swung open the pantry door and grabbed me. He didn't say anything before he pressed a knife to my throat.
"Whats my name" he asked releasing the knife so I could talk
I don't know what he was at the time
"Ricky" I said bearly above a whisper
"That's right little girl, are you ready to play now" he asked, I nodded
"One two three....." he trailed of letting me go
I toke now time running down the street barefoot. I made it to my mom's job she picked me up, know what was wrong.
"We're leaving him tonight baby don't worry" he said rocking me
I had no idea about America receipt my mom had inherited a house in Georgia

I knocked on the door to meet eyes with Layla she smiled and let me in. I walked over to ayo who was watching the twins dance with a woman. I tapped his shoulder as he finished recording.
"Where's Ny'Ome and Nina" I said, he pointed to the lady and a little girl who was in her arms laughing.
"That is not her" I said embarrassed, Nina looked so big far the last time I saw her
"Yes it is, AYE ME ME COME HERE" he waved her
She approached and gave a faint smile.
"Hey Mateo" she smiled
"Hey N-Ny'Ome" I said faintly still staring at the little girl in her arms
"Say hi, Nina and stop" she said, Nina waved and gave me a fake smile showing she didn't remember me at all
"Di" she mumbled
"Oh my god she talks" I said surprised
"Yeah she aslo walks and can jump and run too, you know three months is a long time to raise your daughter" she blurted out, Nina looked between us two
Everybody froze, Angel was behind her holding Nina's cake
"Are we going to sing or what" Angel said not fazed by what he heard
